MT would likely be the worst mpg. AT would be better, and then some P-rated all season would be better, assuming that it can handle your load/weight/speeds, and then also down to OEM size or slightly smaller.

if you do go with all seasons, smaller and/or narrower, that might limit what wheeling you might want to do once you get there.

Set the cruise at 55

Hey thank you for your advice, I’ve run different set ups with my rubicon that I owned prior to this Mojave. You reaffirmed my thoughts on this, the p rated tire is good advice!
Other members got a kick out of my question, all good thank you !
Happy New Year everyone !

I have the same tires on my Gladiator. I average 12 mpg around town 14 to 15 on the highway. I thought about regearing to 4.56 but even before the 35" tires I was only getting 14mpg. So I just plan on more stops when road tripping. These tires are too good to give up.

yeah you hit it on the head , that’s my issue… I drive a pretty good mountain everyday that sure doesn’t help. I agree on the tires they are great off road and snow ! E rating doesn’t help either I imagine, thanks for the help my friend.

I saw literally no difference when switching from the stock 255/70/18 all season to my 285/70/18 E load A/Ts. You’d spend way more money on new tires than any difference in mpg you might see. I got right at the window sticker MPG numbers with both tires.

The 315/70R15 BFG KO2 A/T measure 34.5", is considered a 35" tire, and is the lightest tire in that segment. It also wears really well and balances really well. It does not mud really well...

I have General Tire Grabber A/T in 33" and I'm pretty happy with them overall. They do not make a lot of noise and handle well on pavement.
