I believe when they list the height, it’s using the max wheel width (11”?). If I’m running an 8.5” wheel, then it would actually measure smaller. Am I correct on that? That seems right.
Mostly. There will be a range in wheel widths that stretch the tire sidewall inward or outward (practical and impractical), which would affect the overall height.

From my days in racing, the tire height is based on the mold, and the stamped circumference size was hot off the mold @ 30psi. We ran 26.5" and 27" tires that ranged up to 2.5" or so in circumference. These were bias-ply; radials don't really have that fluctuation.

My joke was more towards ko2’s usually 37’s measure at 35, and 39’s measure around 37-37.5…..

nittos usually run pretty true to size, so I’m kind of surprised to see your numbers with the ridge grapplers… maybe worn a bit?? Or new. Either way 🤷🏽‍♂️ all fit real nice on the JT’s with low lifts 🍺👍🏼
My Nitto RGs 35x12 r17 Load Range E measured in at 33.8"

Dang well, ok cool- then it looks like the older thought of Nitto’s measuring true is only with trail grapplers then 🍺👍🏼. Thanks. Maybe this is why I see quite a few folks with 38 ridge grapplers.

Would appreciate a photo of this, as I believe this would be a unicorn set of 37” KO2’s(if ever found)…… 🤣😂

Add milestar Patagonia XT’s 37x12.5r17 76#’s and I threw one on a scale they ranged between 76-78#’s across 5 tires. Balancing weight took 2-2.5 ounces each.

Measured height on an 8.5 is 36-5/8’s 35psi
But it's on the Internet! It has to be true!

I measured my 37" Patagonia A/T-Rs yesterday. A whopping 35.5" at 40psi, and a definitively crowned tread.

I guess we could all band together and sue the industry like those people who sued Lowes/HD for "misleading" sizes of lumber. A 2x4 isn't really 2" x 4"? Since when??? I can't believe they won.

But you are correct, these tires measured 35.5" (loaded and at 30psi) mounted on 17x8.5" wheels

So ballpark mounted and loaded Nitto Ridge Grapplers and KO2s are about the same height, give or take. With the KO2s coming in a lot lighter and about $80 less per tire, and equally good usage reviews, I think I’m replacing my Nittos with KO2 in a few weeks. I can knock 10lbs off the per wheel weight too. Not bad.
