For anyone that has replaced theirs did you go with the OEM one or did you go with the Dorman one?

Center High Mounted Stop Lamp - Mopar - $86.47

Third Brake Light - 2020-2025 Jeep Gladiator - Dorman - $68.27
At the time my light went out, only the OEM was available. If it happened now, I would just as well get the aftermarket.
Whatever you do, definitely do not buy a used one off of ebay like I originally did. By the time I got around to installing it, it was too late to return, but I found out it had the same problem as the broken one I had. Those duplicitous bastards.😂

Was it easy to open it? Did you have to glue it back together?
There is a new option since many of these posts were made: https://seequenced.com/products/2020-jeep-gladiator

They also will buy your failed light back, they use the housing to make their product. Even thought I bought an OE replacement, I still sold them my broken light when I found it kicking around my shop.

Great idea! How much did they give you?
$20 bucks. It is a cool light but pricey at $210 for a refurbished one and $275 for a new one.

$25 is what they promised, the package is still on the way to them. Not bad for something I was going to throw out.
Great! That'll knock the replacement net cost to about $50.

Thanks again for sharing this!

Just discovered I have this issue while researching a fault code reported in the BCM. My extended warranty deductible is $99 so I guess I’m buying a new light, great.

The issues is with separated solder joints to both connector pins. Carefully drill a 3/8" hole on the side of the connector to reveal the joints then resolder. Seal the hole with double sided tape or hot glue.
