You can't get a diesel in a mojave. The only diesels you are going to find are leftovers.

What are your plans for it? Towing?

Appreciate the reply ya i see they stopped in 23 so i'm thinking either 21 -24.
Towing wise i got a cummins dually so no towing for this rig just fun lol.
The mojave no diesel did not know that hmmm guess it's a rubicon unless the gas would be better?

Both engines have their separate sets of issues. What is your ultimate goal for the Jeep? Big tires? Lift? Trails? Commuting?

I think for most people, 35's are the tolerable limit for 4.10 gears (gas). They are also the perfect size for the diesel on 3.73 gears. Go drive them both and see what you prefer.

The diesel has amazing torque, but expensive out of warranty repairs turned me off of it.

You have you decide what you want. We can ask questions and offer advice, but you are the one driving it.

For me, the diesel was the deal maker. This is my first Jeep. I drove the 3.6 and the diesel in a Rubicon package. I'm still on stock tires and suspension. I'm very slow to mod and I love the available capabilities with the front and rear lockers(only used both once so far). The only thing that I didn't get that I wanted was a manual transmission(that doesn't exist for the 3.0).

I have seen so many things on the 3.0 failing due to eating its own poo. They all have issues EPA has nearly killed the I.C.E.

Good luck finding the right rig diesel is an excellent choice! We have 4 and have had awesome luck with them. If your not doing any rock crawling or crazy offroad consider a sport s I have both sport s and Rubi Jt diesels my wife has a Jlurd and my son has Jtrd .we have combined over 175k trouble free miles I take my sport s on 37's where guys in gas Rubi can't go the torque is unbelievable and good fuel mileage. I own 7 Jeeps personally and have owned 392's and 3.6' s in my personal opinion Heep has never had a better combination then the ecodiesel and I've owned 39 personally and literally hundreds threw my auto dealerships over the years! Good luck hope you find the perfect one yo fit your driving!!

I had a Gas 23 Lifted on 35s and then went to a Diesel 22 Lifted on 42S and I wouldn't go back to a gas JT. You will find a lot of hate on the diesel and 9 out of 10 times the people hating on the diesel don't even own one. The people who own them love them. With a 6.5 lift on 42s I am still getting anywhere from 16mpg-20mpg and the torque comes in handy when I am off-roading. I can just put it in 4LO and it just crawls over everything. The only issues I have had are battery issues but the dealer replaced it under warranty and that seems to be a common issue between gas and diesel.

Agreed once you've owned the diesel for me there's ever going back I'm about half way threw putting an ecodiesel in my Jk pretty excitied about getting it done. My wife get 30 consistently in her 22 Jlurd and loves it!! I get mid 20's in my sport s and Rubi with 37's and I drive pretty hard for the most part lol
