I feel like an idiot asking but I will. I have a almost new set of 285/70/r17 BFG M/T's that were gifted to me. The truck has stock 245/75/r17 A/T's. I have searched the internet until my head hurts but cannot seem to get a definitive answer. Will the 70's fit on a 75 rim? I do have 4 Rubicon rims in the garage and I have been shopping for new wheels but for now I really prefer the look of the stock rims. It is a max tow so I so have a little room to play with in tire size. Would rather spend the wheel money on other necessities like my kids (multiple) college tuition and car payments (multiple).

Post a pic of the wheel you need. I have several sets
I appreciate the offer but I sold them last night on FB Marketplace. Took about 15 minutes. I prefer the factory rims that came n the Sport.

This is an internet photo of the Rubicon rims I had.

I'm never going to live this one down. It's the stupid question that just won't die! :)
As I mentioned earlier TireSize is like a rash that won't go away when you research tires. I did the same comparison but didn't see the answer to my question. I now know more about tires than I think I had room left for in my brain at my age!

I can't thank everyone enough for the education I received on tire size.

I changed out the tires. I had a set of Rubicon rims but did not like the way they looked so I kept the original steel wheels and sold the Rubicons in less than 15 minutes. Someone really liked the way they looked.

I'll revisit this now because it seems my last post about putting on new tires was Oct and now I sit in Jan and those stupid "stick on" weights are coming off. Gushed for no reason. Don't care about the hate this might inspire because it's about trust and living up to your word.

I took it to Discount Tire where they asked me if I had a wobble. I just found the missing weight the week before and I work from home so the vehicle is a Driveway Princess so "No I have not felt a wobble ... yet" (I drive less than 5 miles a week).

Question: "Do I need to wait for a wobble before Discount Tire will re-balance my tire?". I did bring it to a location and showed the missing weight to the tech who was less than helpful with that same question "Do you have a wobble". So now I'm going to spend the day driving hoping for a wobble? Is that what it takes the lazy staff at the South Side Corpus Christi location to actually help with a tire?

If I've learned anything today, it is to never spend another dime at this location. I don't care if I'm called a complainer for this because it looks like they are not living up to their promises. If this post prevents even 1 more person from doing business at that location, I will call it a victory!

You lost a customer because the location was lazy and wouldn't live up to that tire guarantee you love to flaunt. You have my money so I guess you get the last laugh!

Do you have a wobble?
Hard to say because it spends 99% of its time in the driveway now that I work from home. I imagine that if the weight was originally placed on the rim it was to balance the tire. Now that the weight is obviously gone I can assume the tire is no longer balanced? Correct? If the tire does not need to be balanced or if the missing weight isn't supposed to be there than why was it there?

I'm about to take a long road trip and I thought I would straighten this out before it became an issue but now I have to wait and see(?) if it becomes an issue during so I can detour to a Discount Tire to hopefully find a tech who wants to balance the tire? That's the business model?

If that is indeed the business model I believe it should be made clear now so others can avoid this place of business.
