So as many of you know the 3-Piece Steel Bumper option is not available when ordered a JT. I have a work around for those of you that really wanted it.

What I did was go to your dealer of choice, order the 3 piece bumper separately from your truck. They are able to order the part without issue. It is in stock at Jeep’s warehouse. It runs $995, however Mopar is running a 15% off right now through the end of the year. The code is 001BOLO. Which brings the price to 845.75. It took 1 day to arrive for me.

When it comes in and you get your Jeep, remove the factory bumper and should be able to sell it for around 200-300 pretty easy. Bringing the total cost down to cheaper than the factory option. I hope this helps out.

Part # 82215121AB
Discount code: 001BOLO

Note: the standard skid plate likely won’t fit, so order mopar or another version of your choice.

Why do you think we can sell the factory bumper for $200-$300?

Get one of those Drive Plus Mastercards and you'll probably save even more on Jeep parts.

That is completely ridiculous. Does the factory know another department in Jeep has the bumpers.:giggle::facepalm:
I don't know how many Gladiators they build in a day BUT I would bet my house that the parts store doesn't even have enough bumpers in stock to support production for even a couple hours if not shorter. Spare parts and full scale production are a huge difference.

You might also need a separate wiring kit/harness for the LED lights. I needed to purchase the extra wiring when I did the same thing with my JLUR.

I'll probably be doing just that. We picked up a dealer order since ours fell through and it had the standard bumper. I realize I could go aftermarket and likely for cheaper, but I like the way the factory steel bumper looks.

Never even thought of that, The JLUR seem to have the same set up bumper wise. How much did that cost you?

That is two different allocations and worlds apart. The extra labor to even package them for retail sale and the labor to un-package them for use in production would add too much cost.

There was only one fog light plug on our non-steel bumper set up for our JLUR, and the steel bumper set up for the LED fog lights that come with the steel bumper requires two plugs. Some people make their own wiring set up for $25-$45. I do not recall what we spent on the mopar wiring set-up, but will find out.

In the installation instructions it only shows a single harness to install. I will find out soon enough i suppose.

I like the Factory steel bumper but then you have to buy that pricey winch kit so it’s not as good as better built bumpers for same cost. I chose this Hauk Predator bumper powder coated factory red LED lights included winch ready for $1000.
