Adams Drive Shaft Going Back For Re-tube

When I similarly damaged my Dana aftermarket rear shaft, I had it retubed locally.

That's what I was going to do and the reason I reached out to the local off road shop. I asked what drive shaft shop they use and she said they don't have one and to let her know if I find one. That's what led me to circle back to shipping it back to Adams.

Makes sense. Not that it helps you, but in the Denver area, I really like Rocky Mountain driveline.

Not a drive shaft but track bars. I wrapped in bubble wrap, taped them up, slapped ann anddress label on and took them to the post office to be weighed and shipped. I don’t remember how much it cost but I do remember it being cheaper than I thought.

I believe it's cheaper to ship it in a box vs. a tube.

You are right.
I shipped a tube once that weighed only 2lbs and was charged twice what a box would have cost.

Take it to a pack and ship place. They can make custom boxes and some times get deals on shipping.

Could stuff it in a PVC tube and put ends on it. They could use it to ship back to you as well.

I didn’t know they were doing two piece shafts. They told me no when I asked them in 2022. That’s why I got the two piece 1350 from Dana Spicer.

It's a 1 piece. According to thier website the 2 piece is for lifts greater than 4.5"

Interesting. The Dana 1350 two piece works for anything from stock to a 6” lift.

For sure, the Adam's I run works great on the 3.5" MC Gamechanger I run. That's what the shop I use recommend. They said that folks with the one piece had reported clearance issues.

We do this all the time with our rock buggy. Tom Woods, $60! Best if you save your boxes for future use. I ship mine USPS.

Fastenal used to provide a service to ship from stores to stores. I shipped a set of Landcruiser wheels across country from the east coast to CA that way. I don't know if they still do that, or if you have a Fastenal nearby.
