Picked up my '22 JT Diesel Rubicon last week and already have 900 miles on it. It's going to be my daily. All the dealers around me were marking up anywhere from $5k-$10k for the diesels. Found one up in Reno and was able to get a deposit on it while still at the factory and ended up just below invoice once all was done. On my way back home, took it out to Boca Resivor with 40 miles on it and had to make sure the 4x4 worked and to break it in
I'm going to try to make this a good daily driver but also be able to leave right after work to go camping and easily do the rubicon and the like.
I have a '18 JLUR that i am going to be swapping over a majority of the parts to the JT before i sell it. Planning on running a 3.5 lift from Metalcloak, already have the control arms, trackbars, bumpstomps and sway bar links that i am going to bring over from my JL and the springs just arrived. Going to run Fox 2.5s with the DSC. Going to use my 35's on 17 methods for now until they wear down more. I know that the 35's are probably going to look small with the 3.5 lift but better than buying 37's and spending another $2-$3k on tires that are still several months out. I swapped over my mopar steel bumper from my JL with a smittybilt 9.5k winch on it.
I ordered a GFC last week and already have the install date confirmed for July 15th. The GFC will be my starting point for the back of the JT and start building it out to be able to spend several days out camping and not having to worry about much. Have to plan a solar/battery setup for the back and figure out a layout for a kitchen and storage in the bed.
List of Mods:
Suspension:
3.5 Metalcloak (springs, control arms, trackbars)
Fox 2.5 w/DSC
Eventually get some air bumpstops (either fox, carbon, etc.)
Wheels:
35x12.50R17 Falken Wildpeak AT3W (for now, going to run 37's)
Method 316
Exterior:
Mopar Steel Bumper ( for now probably)
Smittybilt Gen3 9.5k winch
LP6 on front bumper
LP4 on pillars
Baja Designs chase light on GFC rear
Rock-Slide Eng. steps
Camping Equip: (Still planning this part out but once i get the GFC installed i will know which direction i want to go in)
Go Fast Camper
Bedrug
Battery/Solar setup
Kitchen and storage
I am sure there is some stuff that i forgot to list but the list is always growing and will keep this updated on the progress of the build.
