After owning my first Jeep, I’ve decided I hate Ohio.

Completely agree. After 30 years we finally bailed on Ohio (was Michigan before that). Turns out we were allergic to the midwest. Either the mold from all the rain, or pollen, or stagnant air in the valley. Can't remember the last time we had a decent rain here, just a brief shower a few weeks ago and the occasional snow. The dry air takes some time to get used to and its pretty dusty.

Same thing with me. I had allergies there for about 8 months a year. Move down here I get it bad for two weeks when everything is yellow, and allergies are gone. No clue what it was but am so glad to be done with those.

This post brought back so many memories. Got my first YJ when I was an undergrad at Texas Tech - loved taking the top/doors off and cruising the deserts of West Texas. Moved to Columbus, OH for grad school and stepped right into the suck. To add insult to injury, a wrong-way drunk driver totaled it a year later.

Moved to Florida with my second YJ - much better (except for the summer monsoons).

Wife and I went down to Marietta over the weekend to watch our son at a track meet and decided to take the freedom panels off on the way home. Weather was mid 60s and wasn’t bad with the windows up. Took a little detour on the way home to see Big Muskie’s Bucket
