Ok, troll. I can't be upset that something was installed incorrectly on my new truck? That makes me not Jeep worthy?

It's a Jeep, ever had your Jeep someplace other then a dirt road? You have 6 pages about a broken ground strap with an easy fix, wait until you break an axel or driveshaft and the nearest road is 40 miles away but I guess malls are always close to roads.

Can't speak for your vehicle, but mine has quite a number of these on the passenger side.. I'd just use another one.

That said.. wondering if the paint would have bound it up this much?

If so, maybe put a few drops of acetone on the bolt before removing it.. just to soften up that paint on it?

(Just remembering some of the things we used to have to do, when prepping cars for audio competitions.. and acetone was commonly used for paint removal in some areas.)

I would have to say you were very successful in breaking that bolt. Usually the conversation when a bolt breaks off like that is about what happened to your knuckles when it snapped.. Since you didn't mention the blood and cuts, I would say you did a fine job and the Jeep Gods were good to you. Life is all about breaking bolts..

My JT had the aux switch option so no clue on enabling however, I find it odd that we cannot select either AUX or RUN mode for the switch source. I have some radios on one circuit and have to leave the truck in run mode to use them. Funky.

I have noticed that each option has 2 settings. most of the program apps say to set to acc or run.. something like that I dont really read it anymore, I work on all my vehicles with different readers/ programmers.

Go into settings then chose AUX then you can pic any of the 4 switches the way you want them to run.

I broke that same stud on mine while working on a. Dual battery install. Without using much torque at all, it just popped it half just like yours.
