Christy Lee can work on my jeep anytime she wants to!!! I'll pass on the the gooseneck hitch, and leave that for my Superduty however!
She isn't on the show any longer. She left to go to MT and works with the Garage Squad crew

Goodness. Tough crowd around here.

Technically a goose neck is the better way to tow. It stresses the frame less and it lifts no weight off the steer axle. If I was going to tow 8,000 lbs (a goose neck with something on it, maybe UTVs?) I'd ideally rather use a goose neck than a bumper pull.

The only thing here that worries me is the quality of the hitch installation which I can't comment on just based on a picture or two, and the potential for exceeding the 3,750 lb. rear axle weight rating.

As long as you don't try to haul a skid steer or something on this trailer, it would actually work great.

That episode is playing now.

some of you guys act like an Overland is useless. WTH? Mine tows very well. Putting a gooseneck in any gladiator is a bad idea, but they regeared it to 4.88 and I don’t think that an inch wider axle makes much of a difference.

That width does matter........ you can feel it when driving both. That's the one thing that would make mine any better - a little bit of extra width. It obviously matters or max tow would not have that width. Stability, controlling sway, maneuvering in semi-emergencies........They picked not only the narrow JT but one with the lowest ratings of all that have the tow package. But then they are out to get lookers and clicks and make money - no one said they were smart or capable or could think ahead.

I can’t tell any difference in driving mine with a rubicon take off suspension and 285s vs the rubicon loaner JT I had. The only thing it made me wish I had was the soft top.

You just have to learn to ignore some posts by some members around here.

Your tires may also matter.
IMO the Overland does tow well. It's actually impressive in ways. And it gets better mpg towing on the same roads than my Chevy did.

I do really like my Revo 3s. They are E load, but actually ride really well and my Jeep feels way more stable and planted than it did with my stock all seasons on it. I thought it was my imagination/excitement for the new tires. When I drove it home, my fiancée wanted to drive it. I asked her how it felt and she said “it drives like a dream!” She was so excited about it.

"Just looking at it, it's a combination of stupid and dumb."

This is what my wife likely said when I approached her asking for that first date 30 years ago ....
Which part is her and which part is you? Sorry couldn't resist ??

I wonder if the higher load range is adding to that feel.
In any case, that's cool that you are also happy with your choice. I am with mine. I can't think of any reason to trade at this point.

I theorize that them being heavier is why it feels more planted. I definitely had to lower the PSI. It rode rough till I lowered the tire pressure. It rides good and the tires wear evenly at 34-35 psi.

A 2 door Gladiator (longer bed) would have no problem pulling small lightweight 5th wheel style trailers. I pull attached all over, including through the Rockies. 30+ year old vehicle producing 125-135 horsepower. The Scamp 19 trailer weighs 2500-3000 lbs. The tongue weight is only 400lbs. Gladiator would have no problem. 1989 Dodge Dakota Sport factory convertible. B&W turnover ball and Anderson Ultimate hitch with ball machined down from 2 5/16” to 2“. I do not know if a 4 door Gladiator’s bed is long enough to be worth the expense of adding a 5th wheel style hitch.
