So I am wanting to take the rake out of my JTR and cant decide between the Alloy USA 1.5" or the Tera flex 1.5" leveling kit!! So many options :headbang:. I also looked at the more complete kits like the RC and Skyjacker! I see guys running these set ups with the additional rear spacers and I'm not opposed to any of them just don't have a lot of Jeep experience. Are the shock extenders necessary?? Do I need longer sway bar links or other suspension upgrades? This rig is mostly used for daily driving and the reason for the level is strictly cosmetic. I will do some mild off-roading from time to time but nothing to crazy. I would like to stay as close to factory as possible and plan on keeping the factory tire/wheel setup. What's your thoughts or recommendations? Better options maybe? Pics are welcome....Thanks:like:

Did the Teraflex personally and only 1" of it because my cap is enough that I have the slightest of rake now. With the Sport S that basically puts my suspension around where a Rubicon sits so probably not relevant to you in that sense but chiming in to say the quality is outstanding. Only difficult spot is getting the nut in for the passenger bump extender... between the two I think that took half the install time. If you remove the bracket on the back side of the mount for the ABS wire (10mm and a little finagling) it's pretty straightforward.

The Skyjacker kit you have inquired about in my thread includes all needed hardware, like front shock extension brackets, extended length sway bar links, and front bump-stop extensions.

Only extra parts needed would be the adjustable track bar to center it back up?

Yep... And the Fox TS 2.0 (985-02-127) steering stabilizer is a strong recommendation from me.

You really won’t need a new/adjustable track bar if you are just doing the leveling kit. It really doesn’t change things that much.

What's your thoughts on the skyjacker spacer lift as far as trackbar/control arms goes? Factory setup sufficient for daily driver and occasional mild off-roading?

I would likely recommend a front track bar. It depends on how the vehicle handles and tracks. 2.5” is usually the breaking point between a full lift with adjustable components or a more basic kit without. Above 2.5” you need to make the adjustments so you don’t create further problems down the road.
Under 2.5” you usually don’t have to do anything else. Here’s a decent article on track bars in particular https://www.quadratec.com/c/reference/what-track-bar-and-why-do-i-need-it.

When you finish installing see how it drives and tracks, check the front and see if the axle is off center much, if you have any problems you can add a front track bar and that’s likely enough.

I just did a Teraflex 1.5" leveling kit yesterday and added 285/70/17 Fierce Attitude MTs to go with it.

I guess you have to ask yourself why you want what you want. I just wanted to kevel it out, hence the spacer kit. If you want a performace lift then go with one that has springs. But for $99 the Teraflex was my best option.

I was originally gonna go with that and run 35s but due to monetary constraints and that i realized that 95% of my driving is on pavement i decided to go with cheaper option. Plus Fierce Attitude MT 33s were on sale for $200/tire.

This is very true! I am looking to level out the Rubicon and add some extra room (I prefer the look of a little extra fender gap...each his own...lol). I wont be able to install this setup for another week or so due to my work schedule but who knows I may change my mind by then! We shall see!

I have put almost 4,000 miles on mine with the stock track bar, but with a proper alignment it's not a big deal. My front axle does sit about 5/8" to 3/4" to the driver's side. If you want that corrected, then you will want to get an adjustable track bar. I recommend the EVO.
