Called to get my Alu cab canopy today and was told that if i chose to install myself my warranty would be voided. Does that sound right? They said they would install for $295
Not sure about the ACCC warranty but the price for install seems very reasonable.

I have not heard that but it could be true. Does that install include them wiring the canopy?

Nope, just set it on and bolt it down. In addition they have one in stock but if I chose to have them install they couldn't get me in for almost 2 months.

I just got clarification from Alu-Cab. Warranty is only voided on issues related to self install including damage that occurred from a poor install, damaged caused by water ingression or damage due to improper wiring of the canopy to vehicle.

Hope that clears it up.

It is just the canopy, so no lights, wiring, just set it on adjust it and bolt it down.
Wiring is involved, the third brake light plus interior lighting.

Posting for some inspiration for anyone searching the forums.

Not mine, but an Alu-Cab Canopy Camper equipped AEV Gladiator thats in our shop right now. Our electrician just finished up a full REDARC Manger 30 system with Redvision tucked away in a Goose Gear Bulkhead Panel using custom mounting brackets. Also installed in the system is a Sunflare 126w Solar Panel, Cotek inverter and 100AH BluOasis lithium battery.

More progress on my camper today.

Installed GP Factors new side window kit to add a little light in on those days you want to escape the weather.

And then did some more work on my teak table and bench system version 1.0. The bench seat back is folding allowing you access to the storage bags on the water tank.

Just need to build a cabinet door to hide the battery compartment and wire and plumb the shower system and I will be ready for my week long trip the King of the Hammers race for a week of vacation.

Nice electrical work! Are those MULE branded upper panels for the electronics by the door? Wood or metal?

Nice! I like the bench seat. I thought about doing some sort of seating. My wife is Japanese so we have decided to carry our Japanese chairs for sitting in the back instead. They sit directly on the floor with backs on them. I need to keep as much space as possible open for carrying orders to UPS. I will probably be carrying a bunch of parts to Jeep Beach also.

Yeah, we have an awesome electrician on staff that pretty much all he does is Alu-Cab installs and electrical work. The panels are custom out of metal. They are bit narrower than whats on the market to allow full access to the the mosquito net velcro.

Cool. I have some panels in production now also with a little twist that I feel others will like also.
