Well I got the maxtrax mounted two on each door. I used 2”x16”x 1/8” aluminum flat bar as a backing plate and primed and texture painted them. I used the maxtrax pins and am very happy with the results

NICE! Didn't know they had black max trax....... Any photos of 2 of them on a side, maybe from like 15 feet away from the truck at an angle? =)

OH, and are the gas struts strong enough to lift the door with 2 trax on them?

My only suggestion is to cut down those bolts with a cut off wheel or hack saw. One day you'll close the door and that lower one will smack into your curio cabinet and the wife will be mad. lol.

If you want a better lock with a hard shackle for those pins, I highly recommend the Abus 64Ti/30. Had a buddy who lost a 4-pack of them because someone clipped the luggage lock and walked off with them.
I will order them tonight thanks for the info

Just be aware they're a snug fit and only fit facing forward or backward. That was the thickest shackle I could find that still fit through the pin and shortest that could still close so they don't pivot through the eyelet on the pins at all.

I sent Eric an email yesterday asking for an update as when we last spoke he said mid March...

He basically said the same thing that you heard. The canopies are on a ship and scheduled to arrive in the US mid April and we should get it a week or two after that. I’m not feeling particularly warm and fuzzy over this as this is what I heard back in February for mid March delivery.

‘I may call OK4WD, the distributor, and see if they can provide me with any more concrete information but don’t know if I’ll be able to reach anyone given the situation..

Tim at OK4wd told me Monday that my cap was due mid April. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Picked up my JT today from winter storage so I'll start getting antsy now. After reading posts about battery issues and these trucks can't sit around without the batteries going flat I was pleased that after 5 months sitting untouched in a garage it fired right up. Did get a message that the ESS wasn't available as the battery was charging. All was well after about 20 minutes of driving. Guess I got good batteries!
