I have one of these on my Gladiator. Like it. Has anyone changed out the locks on the Canopy windows? The ones they ship with are not very good.
thanks

The key is hard to insert and you have to figure out which way to turn it. On one of the keys I have you put the little numbers on the key on the same side as the numbers on the lock, on other key I have it is the opposite but they are still hard to stick in. Compare to the ARE topper key which goes in either way and just slides right in.
Thanks for the info on the handle.

Yeah, I bought that set and am in the middle of installing. So far I can tell you that the drilling template in mine is off, and they aren’t interfacing with the lock properly. I meant to have finished the install weeks ago and done a write up here, but I bogged down when the pins didn’t fit right. Electrical is about done though

I picked up a tube of graphite and periodically use it on the locks on my RSI Smartcap. All six of them turn Left to Lock.

I haven’t had any issues with the locks or sticking. If you haven’t already done so, do yourself a favor and get the rubber latch covers. They keep the dirt and dust and rain out of the locks.

The locks on my ARE topper (I have 2 gladiators) don’t have covers and work great. I got rid of the covers on my AluCab because I was tired of them being in the way. Hopefully the locks don’t deteriorate from the exposure…..

PS, other parts of the ARE topper are not that good. But the locks are great.

Those electric locks show as out of stock. How long was the wait for them?

Old thread but thanks for this. Was thinking of ordering the push button lock covers for an Alu-cab contour. Did you not like having to open them and then flopping around or just PIA overall?
