Granted I am still getting acclimated with my new baby and its quirks. That said, am I the only dummy who does this...hop in and start moving forward or backward and the damn thing lurches to a halt. Then I spend a few panicked seconds trying to figure out what happened. Did I hit something? Did the transmission seize? Ah I messed up on the clutch just like when I was 16. Uh no that can't be it cause its an automatic. Ha. Then I realize the dern door isn't all the way shut and the vehicle goes into some sort of abort mode. Wth. Never had that before. Plus I am used to doors on other my other vehicles that almost shut themselves. For the Jeep you have to really shut it like you mean it. Not a fan of this feature. Can it be turned off
happens to me all the time and yet i panic for like a hour every time!

Yep, it's a safety feature that can't be turned off, just buckle your seat belt and your good or buy a seat belt extender. I thought wearing your seat belt was the law in every state
Every state but NH

FYI, the auto park feature can be disabled with the TAZER Mini, there are several videos on YouTube about this, good one to check is the newest beta release. I also like the rear cam on with turn signal.

Jeep had a lot of explaining to do after this. It baffled the trailer prep guy at the RV dealership we bought from. Don't feel bad.

@GEETCH

You are incorrect on this...

Early on, about 3 yrs ago, the original Tazer JL could defeat "Auto Park" but FCA pushed a pcm update and after that Tazer JL could not do and to this date still cannot do... IF you doubt what I am saying reach out to Joe @ ZAutomotive and he will tell you what I just spewed.

TEXT, Joe at 631-533-3363 if you want and ask him about "Auto Park"
-Do not call this text support line which is for text only.. and ask in your text how to do... Even on weekends and nights and all, Joe usually gets back to you in short order..

YES, some nitwit.... Casey something, has a fairly recent, YouTube video where he says / shows the Tazer JL disabling Auto Park.... Well, the nitwit undoubtedly, had his foot on the brake pedal which keeps Auto Park from kicking in.. the guy is clueless.... and has guys/gals, like you, believing his fake news...
Thanks for the info, rob motive also has a bud out about it. I’ll be getting the glad this month and will test what I have seen and report ack on the fake news. Again thanks.

Or just shut your door all the way and it won't stop you. One or the other has to happen.
