At 50K exact miles towing the boat home, I got the message Start stop not available. Service Stop start system. Drove 1177 miles and truck finally shut off on me backing into my driveway as the voltage went down to 8V ( i had the dash cluster showing Voltage and was using the analog speedometer to see how fast I was going). Restarted it and got into my driveway. Headlights and such were dimming all the time and voltage ran between 11V and upwards of 15.5V at times
Pulled the F42 fuse, disconnected the negative cable for the aux battery and all is good again. Pulled the positive battery cable to reset the system and the light is gone and truck runs great again. No flickering lights or heater / blower going soft and voltage doesn't drop under 13.8V even at idle with all accessories on (wipers, heater, heated seats, heated steering wheel etc).

I did notice the truck after pulling the positive cable for 5 plus minutes did not recognize the key fob and took 3 or 4 cycles of touching the key fob to the start stop button to start the truck before it recognized the key fob again. That was odd I thought.

Frustrating, I know.

Going through the same situation right now.

Aux battery replaced 1.5 years ago.

Primary battery replaced this past spring, with a higher CCA capacity, H7/94R, sumthin like that..

This week the dreaded message popped up.

Simple question from an olde phart. | Jeep Gladiator (JT) News, Forum, Community - JeepGladiatorForum.com

Cold here now, and these olde hands don't take kindly to wrenching.

In the interim, not a time of year I drive much, I'm popping the trickle charger on the truck when parked.

Considering in the Spring doing away with the Aux battery in its entirety.

This is the second time this system has failed me.

Maybe it's only a problem on white Gladiators?

With white wheels?

It's your male aggression that has caused the battery to fail. You've been automatically enrolled in sensitivity training. Please proclaim your preferred pronouns in your next post.

I came out of the closest about three months ago.

I now feel so free!

Since the day I was born, I knew I was different, in a very, very special way.

I was told I was born visible.

Yet I knew in my heart of hearts that I was born invisible.

Three months ago, I felt strong enough to complete the transition.

It is so empowering.

I AM NOW INVISIBLE!

I AM TRANS-PARENT!

My pronouns are WHO, WHAT, WHERE, and HUH.

Please use them.

Thanks for this Glenn!

The OVERLORD sat all night.

Checked the voltage at the primary battery.

12.5

Hooked up the tickle charger.

Fortunately, there was no one here.

Seeing a couple of tickle charger leads float over to the battery would freak some people out.
