Well, sorry to hear your disappointments, for sure, but, sounds like you are much happier now.
I'm still a JT owner, but I agree with you on many of the items you address. And some, like Shadowspapa, have disagreed with me on this, but I am a firm believer the JT is not the most ideal Daily Driver or long distance vehicle. I use mine for towing, but, I have a small 18' RV trailer, and at only 4k lbs, I feel like that is the most my JT will ever tow, because it is all white knuckle driving when I get over 70 mph, and fuel mileage is 8-10 mpg when towing, but I do live in the Rockies, so there is no level travel. I kept the over rated, goofy & un-necessary tech packages away form my JT as well. I learned the hard way, the more complicated electronics you get it, the more problems you have, and the more time it spends in the shop being repaired. As for the top, a good one piece ragtop, is better the a jigsaw puzzle of a cheap 3 piece hardtop, any day, and there are multiple hardtop complaint threads here to back me up. Leaky, wind-noise, water in the cab, and when you are on the go, no place to store it easily. The JT is a toy, a dirt road truck, a jeep at heart, definitely not a commuter vehicle, unless you live in the wilderness as a Fish cop, or have some other outdoorsy job. I do take mine to the shop routinely for suspension adjustments and inspections. Unmodified, its mediocre for any task you throw at it, substantially modified, it starts to get fun, but only off road, or short trips to a jeep event, or an evening ride thru the park with the top down. I love mine, but so glad I dumbed it down and use it as an off road jeep and not a family Uber. Best of luck to you in the Future. Remember, this is just my opinion. I'd rather ride in the Lexus for trips, or date night anyday. If I'm winding up a paved canyon road, I'll take my much more nimble and agile Hyundai VT @ 35-45 mpg with all the bells and whistles. But a dirt road, or chasing Jack Rabbits in the desert, its the JT. There is a tool for every job, can't use a crescent wrench for everything.

I absolutely love my JT as a daily driver. So does the wife with her JK. We use the JT for road trips, commuting, pretty much everything (yes, it goes off-road too...). When not in JT, we're in the JKU, kids and all. I'm not ashamed to say it's my grocery getter. Our only other vehicle besides the two jeeps is a 50 year old Volkswagen. Anyway, to each his own. Definitely not a toy here. I have no 'toy' money, or there'd be a 911 turbo sitting in the garage.

I find it odd you have that sort of driving experience with the JT. Mine is stable and smooth at 90+. In fact if I didn't look at the cluster I'd have no idea I was going that fast -and at times I've gotten there not intending to but simply trying to get around some traffic so I could finally get to the right lane for an upcoming turn a mile ahead. I look down and crap, better slow it down. I mean you can't tell you are going that fast in any way other than wind noise and once you reach 70, that extra 20 mph doesn't make that much difference even in the wind sounds. If someone closed their eyes in the passenger seat they'd never guess I was going that fast.
If my wife feels ok with me going 80+ mph with a 70 mph cross winds and tells me "faster", she's sure comfortable.

Towing is great - 13.9 mpg towing 5,000 pounds even on the grades of I80 east (where truckers constantly shift). I bet I could tow a bit more but have no reason to.
I know mountain air is different - thinner, dryer, and your grades will exceed our 4 and 5s here but otherwise......
My wife has even brought up driving to Florida to visit my son and his family this spring and asked if we could take the truck. She drove from Colorado Springs back home and only asked for 1 break (about 11 hours and she saw a DAIRY QUEEN!)
No leaks at all and all electronics work fine.
Must be your mountain roads is all I can say. I bought this with every intent of it being a "once in a while" truck for hauling and towing otherwise it would sit, parked, like my Chevy was, for days, weeks, even a month at a time at times. Hasn't happened and I'm retired and it gets out a lot - if there's someplace for me or both of us to go, the JT goes out. If it's just my wife for her friends, quilting get-togethers, whatever, it's her WK2. My daily driver cars literally sit now that truck is so very comfortable.
Maybe trims, suspensions, tires, tire sizes and so on contribute to the differences. I'm running light A/Tx tires, diameter pretty close to stock, a wider tire, no lift. Steering is good.

I guess all I can say is I am surprised when I see stuff like this but.......YMMV as they say and not all people are the same, not all trucks are the same, even the same models, and definitely, not all roads or locations are the same! I am really glad I had my JT when I was in CO last summer, though.
People gotta do what they gotta do. If we were all the same Levis would make just one size and engineers would have no issues with seats, comfort and visor placement.

I went from a Sport S to a Mojave, the Mojave is definitely a better ride out of the two. I can't imagine having any issues towing my trailer once I get the WDH in. Will tip the scales at 5800lbs, but it's only a 13' box while towing. I can't imagine driving any other vehicle anymore.

Same here. Had my EcoDiesel Overland for over a year. I've put Falken ATs on it, but no other mods that would impact drive. I have the hardtop, I swap out the panels for a Sunrider for most of the year, I put the panels on in the winter or occasionally when hitting the road for a multi-state interstate highway trip. I have the Hotheads installed. While the Sunrider does generate some noise at high speeds, I've not seen issues with the Freedom Panels at all.

I drive over 50 miles round trip each with day on interstate driving, and it's never been an issue. Much like SP, I'll be humming right along smoothly with traffic and realize I'm topping 85 mph. Getting around 25-27 mpg.

Zero regrets, works like a champ as a daily driver for me.

After 18,000 miles, crisscrossing this country 4 times, towing a trailer and wheeling between, I must be lucky. I’ve had no problems or issues of concern (knock on wood ?). I love this truck, it’s capability and mileage that goes with it. No complaints here. Sorry you had problems with yours, enjoy the new ride!

I'm thinking of some other sound deadening for mine. It's tolerable but with all of the wind in Iowa, there's rarely a day there's not a fair wind, certain times of year make me want to shut off the hearing aids LOL. The MOPAR factory applied stuff helps - but could it be better?
Otherwise - there's a reason that in 26 months I have about 24,000 miles and yet in 8 years my Chevy had only 44,000 or so miles on it (and my wife has had her Grand Cherokee since October 2020 and it's got less than 5,000 miles on it. Man that baby would be worth some cash now in a trade but I'd die trying to get the key fob out of her hand)
