Guess I'm going the way of a bed rack. Serves multiple purposes. Not only for overlanding but also for kayaks, bicycles, and a plethora of other things I may need to haul. Possibly a Rebel Off Road. Supposed to work with Thule mounts.

I'd be doing the same, but I would like the ability to carry a roof top tent (bed rack), bikes (hitch rack), and kayaks (roof rack with no drilling) all at the same time for some of our trips.

Exposed racks are up & feel solid, both clear of the front freedom panels. Malone kayak J carriers fit. Will be no problem getting two 14 footers up there!

Awesome, wonder why they would be any different than the Mopar ones that don't suggest kayaks.

Not sure, but I’m picking up a tandem kayak next weekend about 90 miles away so I’ll find out shortly.

Sweet, my wife and I are still researching kayaks - Delta vs Eddyline. Definitely post back or send me a DM after you've picked yours up. Very interested to see how they feel on top of the cab.

No rooftop tent for me. I like the American Adventure Lab design. In bed pull out and leveling. Just waiting for them to release final edition.

Wow, yeah looks like they got it all. Need two kayaks though ;) I'd still want some bed space though besides the tent. That looks pretty neat though still.

The tent sits above the bed more or less. I contacted them. There is enough room to add a decked system under it for organizing. Or whatever you want.

So what was the result with these bars? Do you like them? Any pics with the kayaks? I'm considering some roof rack bars, but I'm unsure on brand at this point.

Check your inbox.
I would love a rack manufacturer to build a swingable mount/platform that would bolt to the side of the bed rack, with an "L" shape that goes above the RTT (most RTTs fall in a certain height) then you mount the kayaks to those. The meet in the middle and connect via a pin (think hitch pin).

Or... An extension to lift the RTT up 12" and fit the kayaks/SUPs underneath, sticking out the back.

Oh, and not charge $199+ for it.

I'm not a big fan of mounting them along the side, even though that might just be the easiest.
