As others have said, the bumper is a class II hitch. The term "receiver" was used incorrectly on the document you showed. Installation of a ball requires drilling the plastic bumper cover. Here was my solution: https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/...-do-to-your-gladiator-today.23705/post-565796
Which model did you go with? Their website shows several and none look like that. Thanks!

Edit: Disregard. Found it.

Look for the embossed circle in the top/center of the bumper, that's where the class II mounts. I guess you have to drill it.

FWIW I added the correct one for the Gladiator to my JT.
Didn't like having to drill out the hole, so I pulled the cover during the install. Not rated as high but looks almost like the factory version.

I realize this is the wrong one, being for the Ram, but I wish they made our bumper covers like the Ram.
Its nice that it comes pre drilled and with that removable cap/cover.

How difficult was it to pull the bumper cover off? Snapping off panel clips and screws or did you have to remove the entire bumper?

Its pretty easy and its just a plastic cover on mine.
Only a few screws to remove it.
There are a few videos on line that show the process.
Biggest issue I had was getting the damn wire harnesses apart.
