My JTR with 2" front and rear lift (Iron Rock Offroad). Love the lift! Stock Rubicon wheels and (stock) Falcon at tires. I like the combo and have no designs to go larger. When I need tires, I'll go up to a 285/75/17. I've never been a fan of Tonka truck sized tires. Looks silly to me, not to mention like taking a jackhammer to suspension components. Just my personal opinion. I value reliability over parking lot bragging rights. If I can't get there and back, it's worth nothing to me. It's not my daily driver. It's my ONLY driver...

How did you get a manual transmission with the max tow package? I wanted that but was not allowed to order mine that way. Jeep would only do an auto with the max tow package.
The OP says he has a manual sport WITHOUT max tow……

A 2.5" lift with 33's...... Why? JTR's come stock with 33's, most folks fit 35's with no lift. And most folks run 37's with a 2.5" lift.
Cus’ the “Price”. To do it right, especially for fast highway driving and towing, a regear would be expensive…. 37s and regear is how much…..?

Which is one of the reasons I went with 33". Didn't want to effect the effective final gear ratio any more than I had to. Not to mention take-off Rubicon wheels and tires can be had for less than someone would pay for just tires.
Pictured is my Sport with Rubicon take-offs and the Mopar 2" lift. Lift actually ended up with just over 3" in front and 2.5" in the rear. I think it looks fine with the Sport fenders.

That seems like a good price for gear set labor install. I was quoted closer to $1800 around here for my JLU, and that's if I provided everything.

That was a WAG (wild ass guess) but got a number in there for calculations. My local shop is shut down for the holiday, so haven't got a real number yet.

Edit: Got a quote for the gear install with me supplying everything. $810 per axle, includes retorque during break-in, so that's pretty good.

Yes if you go with 35s now you will either need to add an offset or 1.5" spacers. That's what I had to do. I do not plan to get a lift for some time as I have other things I want to do first. My tires are 305/75/17 and I went with the 1.5" spacer instead of an offset.

Here is the most recent pic of that.
