Has anyone had any issues with their Fox Shocks?
I feel every bump in my Mojave and it seems to be getting worse.

Are the shocks leaking?

Took at look at ReadyLift and they don't even offer a 2.5" lift specifically for the Mojave. It actually says not compatible with the Mojave edition.

Did you use shock extensions? The Mojave shocks are bypass, so unless you have shock extensions that match that lift height you are outside of the bypass zone and it's going to ride like crap.

I did use shock extensions. It rode fine for 10k miles, now it's horrible.

Can't help but ask, did you get an oil change or anything else at the dealer lately? They always over-fill the tires and the ride quality is poor until I fix that.

Yes sir, that was the first thing I checked. Tires were at 36. I bumped it down to 34. Highway speeds, its ok. Just in town when hitting a bump, its horrible

My shop installed this. They said they had to slightly bore out the hole for the shock extenders. They have installed a bunch and said they have had no issues. I took mine back and they looked at it and said everything looks good, They think it may be a shock issue, is why im asking

By chance did the change in ride quality coincide with the change to the ATZ tires? What load rating are they? I have D load BFG KO2 and can’t wait to change to C Load tires. Heavy load tires need more air to avoid losing power and sucking down extra gas, but then they ride harsh.

I would take some time to see if everything is tight and to spec...

C-rated tires are getting really tough to find

Are the factory Mojave shocks rebuildable?
I really hope so because of the cost…..

If not….. looks like someone is getting adjustable 2.5’s!!!

Edit:
They are rebuildable
https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/...frame-from-fox-maximum-of-50-000-miles.57354/

Looks like a MAX life of 50k miles before rebuild. There are lots of variables that can shorten this life.
https://www.ridefox.com/service.php?m=truck

Rated for 1,000 miles off road for seals and oil…..
$175 a shock to get rebuilt.

I would give shock surplus a call
https://www.shocksurplus.com/

If you have added bumpers, canopy, bigger tires, etc. visit a scale- get your front axle and rear axle weights separately and see what shim stack the guys at shocksurplus can come up with for you.

The Mojave shocks are great! But as folks change stuff on the vehicle, the shim stacks need to be updated for that same optimum ride.

If you are mechanically sound, and wheel often- you may benefit from watching some videos, and picking up the couple tools you need to do this yourself.

Coming from sxs- DP4 racing the cost adds up quick- especially when you are rebuilding once, twice+ a year…. Figuring out what stacks is a bit of an art… rebuilding them is pretty easy.
