I placed an order on a Gladiator Rubi a few weeks ago and I've found a Rubicon on the lot about 100 miles from me that has almost every option I added to my order except the switch group and bed cover, but it has color match fenders, leds, and leather seats. Its also in Gator Vrs the Black one I had ordered which I prefer. The price is the same as what I've ordered based on current incentives and it looks they are offering me way more on trade in than what I had negotiated with the other dealer. I have a non-refundable $500 deposit but the trade in difference looks way make up for that, its almost $8k more.

I haven’t but I would get exactly what you want. It’s a long term purchase and if you like the one on the lot more go for it. I’m sure the other will have no issue selling.

You can walk away and lose the deposit. The dealer you ordered from will just add the vehicle to their stock.

My dealer told me when placing a Mojave order with $1000 deposit, that is a non-refundable deposit, but they refund it as they will sell the jeep and keeping the deposit doesn’t keep customers. Just tell the dealer you have to hold off, they can perhaps cancel the order or sell it when it comes in, and as long as they think you are a potential customer might give all or most of deposit back. My dealer is wiped out on jeeps, they have one Gladiator Sport and about eight Renegades that just came in, nothing else, no Wranglers or Cherokees nothing......Jack

I was seconds away from walking when I went to pick it up, numbers in hand from another dealer that was willing to save me about 5 grand. I told them knock off 2K or I'd leave it there and go to the other dealer.
They were visibly shaken, but did agree to take 2K off.
I showed them the numbers so they couldn't say I was BSing them.

I cancelled an order I placed literally days before the JT was to arrive at the dealership. The dealer couldn't give me the deal he promised upon ordering (never had anything in writing). So I walked, and they even refunded my $1K deposit. Waited a few months and picked up my JT at a dealer in a different state.

I'd say get what you want, it's your $.

I had to do that. Had one on order and I had placed $500 down. Later, told them I wasn't going to be able to go through with the purchase and asked for my money back. They obliged.

My order was a fairly main stream spec in a desirable color so I imagine it wouldn't be hard for them to sell.

I plan on going to them in the future for my next Jeep purchase.

After going back and forth with them for 5 hours today I think I'm going to stick with what I have. The initial online trade number they gave was total bait and switch and the ended up offering 10k less which was 2k less than my current offer. Stay away from Dan Cummin CDRJ in Lexington, Ky... The had the most drawn out process I have ever gone through for online car shopping...

Edit they came back an hour later and apologized and met what I wanted. Heading down this afternoon to take delivery.

Myd ealer actually told me of a better deal on a group of overstock vehicles from Jeep and saved me about 2 grand from a basic Sport to an Overland.

Ended up it buying it. Emailed the other dealer to let them know I would not be taking delivery of the one I ordered. Haven't heard back from them yet. Don't plan on getting the $500 deposit back but I got $2500 more in trade to make up for it.

My only regret on that deal would be the aux switches. Mine didn't come with them as I bought from dealer stock. Looks like a royal pain to install and I've heard the dealer wants about 700 in labor plus parts to do it after the fact. But it sounds like you saved enough on the deal to be well worth it.

Yea I was regretting that I didnt get the LEDs which look to be even more expensive to add afterwords. I did see there is another aux switch option that just came out thats compatible with the Rubi dash the looks like it has more switches.

The LEDs are well worth it. I didn't know it at the time, but sure glad mine happened to have them.

Plenty of aftermarket options for LEDs that are a better value honestly. Jeep is crazy asking what they are for that package. Honestly my $40 I spent on bulb swaps works pretty good after adjusting where the lights pointed.

Also I saw up top you didn't get the bed cover, plenty of better aftermarket options out there. Had some issues with my diamondback and their customer service was quick to send out replacement parts.

Aux switch group is cool, but I sadly have yet to use mine for anything.
