No towing but you have still increased weight and load on it.
That’s true, however that would not cause a head gasket to leak. These trucks are built to tow , what 7000 lbs, I have the tow package. Never overheated. Waiting to see if the came shafts are toast

That then leaves the question of why they do not fix it? I believe that any fix other than reigning in supplier material defect or manufacturing issues would require a in sequence design change

A material defect would affect 100% of engines.

A manufacturing defect would have to be shown able to be replicated.

If the suppliers are meeting the specs given to them, there is no problem to hold them accountable for.

With 37´s and an auto, I´d go 4.56. With a manual, 4.88.

My Wrangler is on 35´s with a manual and 4.56 and it´s really just right.

I have a 2021 Mojave I bought new with 10 miles on it. I purchased the Mopar MaxCare 7 year unlimited mileage warranty with a $200 deductible. I then commenced to drive the shit out of it and beat it like a red-headed stepchild out of the gate. It's been all over the country (literally from California to Maine) It's been airborne. It goes to King of the hammers. Yesterday I picked it up from the dealership with a brand new engine at 260k mi. The transmission was replaced at 253k. I've had multiple other things done over the life of the vehicle (axles, cams, pulleys, lifters, transfer case, bearings, had door welds repaired, cam position sensor, front hydraulic bump stops, more than I can remember. The transmission and engine each cost me $200. I paid $600 extra to replace some peripheral parts that were not part of the engine replacement (hoses, belts, etc.). So this year alone I've had over $30k in billed repairs for $1200 out of pocket. Yes, it took 5 weeks each time for the engine and tranny from drop off to pick up. But I'm fine with that; I understand something like that, as a warranty claim, doesn't happen overnight or even within a week. The only downside is when the original engine started misfiring it damaged the left catalytic converter and the exhaust system is not under warranty. I was able to get that taken care of outside the dealership for less than half of what they quoted me to do it. In the entire life of the vehicle that is the only major repair I have had to pay for out of pocket. The moral of this story is if you buy something from Mopar you had better just go ahead and buy the Max care warranty. I can show over 50k in repairs over the 5 years I've had it. The vehicle has a 2 and 1/2 in Evo lift on 37s and the dealership has never given me an issue about my warranty claims because of my modifications. Tranny was serviced at 200k and never before. I've only had to change the brakes once. I've gone through 3 main batteries and 5 aux batteries. On my 4th set of BFG KOs.

I’ve been seriously considering trading mine in on something else because I don’t trust this drivetrain anymore. I only have 63k miles on mine, but I’ve towed and hauled a lot with it and I drive with a heavy foot. I’ve had more dozens of vehicles than I can count, and always driven the same way and never once had a drivetrain failure. This Jeep had the rear end go out at under 20k miles, 6 yrs ago, but it’s slammed into reverse since new and idled rough till it’s warmed up since new (multiple dealerships said it’s normal when it was under warranty). Now it pings sometimes unless I run premium in it. I’m seriously considering trading it. I don’t trust it anymore. It sucks because I love it and it could not drive smoother once it’s warmed up and if I run premium gas in it.

2020 3.6l/8AT 10/19 build date. The rear end went out before I ever towed or hauled anything with it.

Edit: I also smell coolant now sometimes and I can’t find a leak and it hits 220 in summer traffic and it never ever went over 20x its entire life until last year.
