Looks like the nights are going to be pretty cold for camping this weekend. If I don't see everyone on Saturday morning it is because I am frozen at the AOAA Trailhead campground. ?

On a serious note. I hope to be out on the trails by 9:30 on Friday and am looking forward to meeting who ever show up Saturday morning.

See you Saturday morning. I’m close enough to sleep at home for AOAA days.

Unfortunately, I am out. I held out as long as I could. I have no truck to take.
It is at the Stealership. Has been for two weeks. Went in in August for ABS light, parts ordered, parts came in late September, left rear wheel sensor did not fix it. Went back in two weeks ago, found a corroded connector, could not clean it and put it back together, now it does not run. Been on the phone with them daily fighting to get it back. No luck.
I spent 20 years running parts and service departments. I could never imagine treating a customer the way I have been treated. Nobody cares anymore.

Sucks, I don't get much time to myself. I was even excited to buy the Insulated crock pot for the chili.

SORRY EVERYBODY!!

That sucks .... you are welcome to show up at AOAA and split driving time in my truck. PM me if you want to so we can sort out any of the liability waiver details for AOAA

Thanks for the offer. I guess it just means another work day for me. Somehow 70-75 hrs a week Isn’t enough.

Hey Mike, bummed you aren’t able to make it. Hold on though, you aren’t sending the chili anyway? What the hell?
??
Sounds like we need to figure out a winter-wheeling day. ?

Just hit the hotel, and now I have to look for chili! Bummer big @AmishMike. I agree. Come on out anyway. Any of us would love to have you spot and copilot.

Met up hit some trails with TheOpa and John in the Woods and also got to meet Kajo. Had a great day at AOAA and made it through the BOH trails, Fern Ridge Trail #121 and Barney Rubble Blue Trail #49 (at least as much of Barney Rubble as we were able to find and follow). Some minor damage incurred, but our day didn't look anything like this..... real pictures to come soon....

It was indeed an awesome day, and great to meet you, John, and Kajo. Aside from ours, there were some pretty nice Gladiators there. Here is a clean pic from the start:

I have confirmed that I have no future as a photographer or as a videographer ... but here is what I have from today's trip

Easy going on the way to the Fern Ridge trail (goPro and mount added to wishlist)

John in the Woods decided to do a little flex

I think he's going to have a poster made or something ;)

This picture looks like it is wide open, but at AOAA the trails were tight. I might have spent more time worrying about trees than I did rocks.

This was a warm up early in the day. (PS John in the Woods is a great spotter and TheOpa generally lead the way to show us how things should be done!

We did take one wrong turn and ended up having to back out a short section of trail.

Damage for the day was minimal. I think John in the Woods got away with no damage, TheOpa lost a marker light on the driver front. I crunched up a fiberglass fender flare after a bad decision trying to get past a tree and has to put my spare on in the parking lot at the end of the day when I discovered my valve stem was too mangled to air back up!

Thanks again to TheOpa and John in the Woods for a great day. I am a clueless noob and they kept me pointed in the right direction.
