I have a dash mounted GMRS radio and two handhelds if others need a radio. Mind or wild? I have been told need to be lifted for the tougher trails and I really don’t want to break the truck right now, so tougher trails I might just go by. I’m still perhaps a one day guy doesn’t matter as much which place other then AQAA has a couple events going on and also ATVs and side by sides , so might get crowded , but never been there yet…Jack

I was just at Rausch Creek this weekend. No lift and stock tires was ROUGH. Lost count of how many times we banged and scrapped the underside. Thankfully no damage, just scratches and gouges out of the skids. Coming from a lifted JK I am not used to the metal on rock sounds so I might be overly sensitive. It was a fun challenge, we stayed on Green and Blue trails and got the BoH for trail 11.

A month away. @TheOpa said that he will lead. I will bring up the rear. I have a pair of radios (that I kind of know how to use)
Are we getting involved with the event at AOAA on Saturday? Then Rausch on Sunday? Thoughts?

Are we headed mild or wild?
Personally, I would like to get the new BoH trails at AOAA.
I’m happy with AOAA. I can get even the stock folks through Barney Rubble. There will be scraping but if it’s limited to underneath, it’s only a can of spray paint and you’re back to normal. 😉
Either place has enough green an blue trails to keep everyone happy.

I’ll follow Opa through Barney Rubble at AOOA any day , and I’m a poser!!
Guess it is getting down to which places at what day and then if people are going to one or both places, I am good for either day , either place and possibly both , both days….🤪

I should be good for AOAA Saturday if the group comes to that consensus.

Had a great time for two days, the Gladiators and a Wrangler, KrashEd, Chad, AmishMike and myself, couple last minute cancels. Started out rough with a Wrangler not having 4WD due to a linkage issue, KrashEd came through with trailside repair and lead way most of the day, Thanks Ed!
Amishmike and myself stayed late and did a BOH trail Barney Rubble. The next day we hit Rausch creek which was empty, really empty like perhaps 6-8 vehicles all day. With Mike’s help again just like at Barney Rubble got through Crawl Daddy and Crawler Ridge, which my Mojave on 33” stock height made it , it was very loud and banging but made it with no damage. Not many pictures. Decided this weekend that I’m getting the rest of the new Venture belly skid with UMHW board on it for Christmas, I’ll just wrap it stuff it under tree with
“To: Jackie From: Santa” wife will just glare at me as grandkids see that I believe! thanks AmishMike for pushing me to keep going!…..Jack

Thanks for coming out everyone!
Big thanks to @KrashEd for making that 'on grade' linkage repair. Nothing like laying under a Jeep making repairs while it is sitting at 20° uphill.
AOAA is definitely making improvements and gaining popularity. Like Jack said, Rausch was empty, the trails had a lot of overgrowth like I have not seen there in the past.
The two BoH trails we hit at RC (Crawl Daddy and Crawler Ridge) have changed a lot since last time I did them. Heavy traffic, torrential rains etc. made things interesting. Lots of loose ground gave way and made for high-centering.
@Jaxmax great job out there! Thanks for coming along.
