The roof tracks look to be about 41.5" apart from center to center. Hope that helps!
Thanks! Narrower than I was expecting considering the bed is ~56” wide

Is there room outside the rails that is still on the flat of the roof or does the goes pretty quickly into the curve?

If so, might need to make a few offset brackets for the rack to bring the mounting locations closer together.

There's about 6" from the track center to the outside edge of the shell.

Edit: Something I just thought about. I have the interior clothes rods installed and the roof tracks are inset to the inside of those. I don't know if they be set further out if those weren't optioned or not. It would be interesting to find someone who has the shell without the interior rods and see the measurements on the roof tracks. I'm not sure how much further outward they'd want to set the roof tracks though since it's just a fiber glass shell.

I just purchased a 2021 Gladiator Rubicon and your description of the ride is spot on. I went with the AEV 2.5" RC lift w/ and AEV steering stabilizer. Improved the ride drastically and gives me hope. Definitely would recommend. Let me know if you have any questions. Would like to get some good pictures of it this weekend to post.

Can you get some pictures of your rear hatch and the opening side windows? The big reason I want to do an RSI/AluCab/RLD is because of the opening sides, but truth be told, I prefer the look of the ARE and liked the ARE I had on my Raptor a lot. Opening side windows would help push my decision over the edge.

I'll take some pics tomorrow of the rear window and side windows open.

Note: All the toppers you mention are metal and have a much better static/dynamic weight rating than the ARE. ARE wont actually give you a real answer on what the CX Classic topper can hold. You will see advertisements from them showing a rooftop tent (RTT) mounted to the roof tracks. Use at your own risk. :)

Nice thanks. I know the static load is going to be less, not really planning on putting much up there really.

Great pictures. What does it weigh and do you notice any difference in driving?

Thank you.

This looks so good! Is it hard to drive around with this thing on full-time? I use my mirrors a lot (lol I guess we all do?) and can't tell if this would just make the center rearview mirror useless.

Regarding the ride - Don't have my JTR yet and only have driven sports, but I'm not looking forward to any sponginess. I noticed the AEV lifts use Bilstein 5100 shocks, which is what I have and love on my current truck. I wonder if just switching the shocks would be enough to change the ride quality?

Yeah I just use the side mirrors more and mine is equipped with the little lights on the mirrors to tell me if someone is there. You can see through all the glass just fine in the day but at night the rearview mirror is almost worthless as the glass reflects the interior mostly.

The AEV Bilsteins are valved for their setup. Not sure how much different that is from "stock" Bilsteins but I have used "stock" Bilstein 5160 on my '01 Tacoma and it was "good enough".

I just bought a used ARE from a guy who traded his JT in. I have the trail rail system but had to remove it to clamp the top on. What clamps do you have? Thanks

I had mine installed at the local ARE dealer and they used a clamp that fits in the Trail Rails. The receipt doesn’t mention them. I can go get a close-up shot of them tomorrow for you and see if there’s any labels on them.
