My armorlite and sound assassin sheeting for beneath it came in today.

So my question is “what do you wish you had done before installing these ?” (also any installation tips you have would be appreciated)

Is there extra wiring I should do before I put the armorlite in?

What about other mods that are best done before ?

Only thing I can think of is Pedal Commander as you may want to tuck the excess wire behind the Armorlite (ask me how I know) or potentially any accessories like dash cams where you’re running wires down to the passenger footwell area. Other than that…can’t think of anything.

I’m pretty dang short (conventionally speaking) at 5’2”. Does making the seat taller / angled make it better for a vertically challenged fellow like me ?

The concept was nice to me, but in all honesty the angle (for the ones I got) was a tad too extreme. I wish it would have been half the height, but I *think* they discontinued the adjustable ones.

The video says you don’t need to remove seats.
My advice: remove seats.

I’m still struggling with install as the trim won’t clip back in. The material is thicker than the carpet.

Adjustable are awesome....I bought them a year ago and only used the .75" step. Made the seats perfect.

Omg...I'm assuming you're having problems with the rear door trims....

Yep....it's a mother. I slapped the shit out of mine finally got it to click. Broke a few clips. Doesn't look perfect. Welcome to Armorlite life. It's worth it.

I would highly recommend removing the front seat entirely. Two electrical connectors and wire retainers under the seats.

Makes the sound assassin install much easier.

I agree with the above also re installing the lower trim is tough with the thicker Armorlite under them.

When removing the trim on the driverside I took the time to open the OEM wire track and place my step wiring in it.

I'll echo what every else has said.... figure out what else you might do with the interiors out but definitely just remove the front seats. So much easier with them out. The rear cargo basket under the seats comes out with a couple nuts so taking that out as well makes sense.

In my case I was doing Katzkin leather so pulling the seats entirely made sense and definitely makes the job easier.

What I wish I had done was wait on my stereo upgrades and all the work I did putting in remote locks.. I've pulled the rear seats and the rear panel so many times........

im having problems with all the trim and I accidentally pulled the passenger air vent out(the one directing airflow from console under seat). I’ve kinda given up and am taking to a shop to fix it all up. Brand new gladiator and I just lost patience

Absolutely took your (and others) advice on the seat removal. Thanks!
