Been visiting my Daughter in Phoenix and noticed at these temperatures my auto stop/start doesn’t activate. Morning it does fine, heat of the day it does not. Maybe keep the a/c working?

That said, I'd take south west heat over just about any other, humidity is a hell of thing. I can deal with 110*f at an rH of 10% but lord 95*f at an rH of 90+ is no good for me. Being of a "gladitorial" build I'll overheat before I run out of ATP and then it's like trying to draft cool a cat dozer the whole rest of the day.

Yikes! Back home living in the north woods we get humidity only when a front comes in. When it passes it’s comfortable even at night. Now Florida in the summer is a whole different animal.

Thus the nice part of living in coastal Long Island, we just had a week in the high 80's and then since Saturday it's been in the mid 70's. Weather comes in waves and never lasts too long.

Feel your pain we been cooking here in South Texas plus the damned Humidity is like wearing a blanket. You burn up but look like you just stepped out of the pool with all your cloths on.

From the manual page 189...

POSSIBLE REASONS THE ENGINE DOES NOT AUTOSTOP
  • Driver’s seat belt is not buckled
  • Outside temperature is less than 10°F (–12°C) or greater than 109°F (43°C)
  • Actual cabin temperature is significantly different than temperature set on Auto HVAC
  • HVAC is set to full defrost mode
  • Engine has not reached normal operating temperature
  • Battery discharged
  • When driving in REVERSE
  • Hood is open
  • Transfer case is in 4L or N (Neutral)
  • Driver's seat is not occupied or driver door is open
  • Vehicle is at high altitude
  • The vehicle is on a steep grade
  • Forward Gear is engaged
  • Steering angle beyond threshold
  • System fault is present
  • HVAC set to MAX A/C

For those of you that wish to disable auto start? Just drive in reverse. Problem solved.?
