New member, first time poster, so go easy.

Started having issues with remote start not working, and high charging voltage. Found this forum and resulting diagnosis was bad batteries. (original 2020)Thanks to all who contribute ideas and pictures, deleting the aux battery went smoothly. Replaced main battery with a Federated-branded Deka 94R. However within one day the remote start stopped working again and the charging voltage was back up around 14.7 all the time.
Back to the forum. . . . .
Saw some posts about parasitic draws from Taser with outdated software. Draw on each battery cable with Taser was .02 mA. Remove the Taser, update software, re-install and . . . same. Battery dropping below 12.4 volts overnight. Apparently that is the cutoff for remote start.
So , out with the Taser and back to stock for a few days.
After three days, no change. Battery still drops, lowest was 11.9 volts, this was overnight at zero degrees in an unheated garage, so I will give it a pass on that one. Also with the charging voltage being so high, my Sealight LEDs started to flicker, I assume from being driven a bit to high.
Another search of the forum and I found a post about a similar remote start issue, solved by installing a lower cost ETX12-BH battery in lieu of a total aux battery delete, or a more expensive battery.
Side note, going thru the inner fender with the tire removed is the cats meow on changing that out.

End result: Remote start works, charging voltage back down to 13.8, with the occasional rise to mid-14's. No more flickering headlights.

Other than possibly having a weak new battery, I have no idea what the underlying issue was. I did charge the new battery for two hours with an AGM charger before i re-installed the Taser, just to verify it was fully charged.

Since the problem is resolved, you don't have to chime in, but if it will help someone else, then feel free to jump in!

If you didn't charge your new Aux battery before installing, you didn't do yourself any favors. Good news though, you don't have to take it back out. Positive charger cable on the main post and negative on just the Aux negative that is removed from the main negative. When that is complete go ahead and charge that main again. While it is charging, remove the IBS sensor connector (30 minutes). When charging is complete, reconnect the Aux - cable and reconnect the IBS connector.

So you installed the aux battery back?
Yes, since I found a less expensive one, I figured what the heck. Next time that replacements are dueI think I will get a high quality main battery and try the aux delete again.
