Good video but lot easier to remove the grill, only a screw driver required, just saying but you got it done

Nice video. Can’t find the links to the bulbs though. Can you post them?

I like that it's just the bulbs you replaced and didn't change the whole look of the headlight assembly. The video shows a dramatic color difference but it's hard to tell how much the actual brightness increased. How much brighter would you say the new LED's are now as a percentage?

I did bulbs on mine as well. Hikari Led Headlight Bulbs, Alla Foglight bulbs and Sylvania Zevo led turn signal and DRL lights. Here are some pictures for comparison. I had like $90 in everything.

Sorry about that! Below is the link to my YouTube channel as well as the info that can be found in the video description! Thanks for checking it out!

Nothing better than a good DIY project....except a affordable DIY project!!! The Gladiator needed a little attention in the lighting department for sure so that's where I started. After tons of research I made my decision and placed the order. Gotta LOVE Amazon! Total price for this upgrade was $111!!! Hope this video helps anyone on the fence about pulling the trigger on a LED upgrade project. This mod is very affordable and extremely easy! Not to mention it looks SWEET!!! Remember, this DIY project can be performed on any make or model as long as you order the correct bulbs for your application! Bellow are links to the bulbs that I used for my 2020 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon if anyone is interested. Thanks for checking us out and be sure to like and subscribe for more content coming soon. If you have any questions or comments drop them down below! Let us know what you think and if you have any suggestions for videos! Now get out there and do something awesome!!!

I wish I could give a more technical answer but I don't have the tools to do so as this requires a special lux meter. I will say that the brightness and usable light has a lot to do with the color/temperature that you go with. That's totally user preference of course. My vision is not so great so I aim for usable light rather than cool factor. The LED's are a LOT brighter than the factory halogens in my opinion. This is usually the first upgrade I perform on all my vehicles not equipped with LEDs from the factory. The beam pattern is also very close to the factory setup with the bulbs I selected. No blinding glares for driver or oncoming traffic. It did take a few tries to find what works best for me but good research always pays off in the long run.

LEDs are deceiving. You can actually have a lower luminosity (lower lumens) and still be perceived by the human eye as brighter due to the "usable light". In fact measuring instruments had to change with the popularity of LED because, depending on the LED of course, they can kick out more usable light but LESS light over-all.
I spent weeks (or longer) researching lighting when the huge sodium lights went goofy in my shop. I was determined to not have to mess with lights up at my 15' ceiling in my lifetime.
I have 30% LESS light as measured in lumens, but the shop is a whole lot brighter! Same for my work bench lighting- I replaced the fluorescent lighting with LED - LOWER lumens, MORE light as far as eyes are concerned because more of it is usable.

So - beware of comparisons......... you can have more lumens as far as output but not see as well - DEPENDING ON THE COLOR OF THE LED output.

In my shop - I have more usable light, cut power use down to about 25% of what I was using, and it's so much easier to see in there - yet the total lumens is less by almost 1/3.

(the clowns in our area with the trick blue headlights think they are doing a lot better - naw, according to experts they actually won't see things as well with 'em, it's mostly show and bragging rights)

Bravo -you get it. USABLE light - what the human eye needs and uses. Meters may not be accurate unless they are new- because older means of measuring light didn't take the human eye into account. So people went for "more lumens" and ended up with light not really any better.

Thanks to both you and B.B. for explaining that - it makes sense. I wanted to quote both of you on this but I'm having newbie problems with multiple quotes - I'll learn this eventually lol.

Anyway, I had factory LED's on the SUV I traded on this Jeep, and my path was lit brighter by far in that vehicle. That's why I asked the question about brightness. When I'm in my house relaxing, reading, whatever - I want a warmer light. When I'm driving though, I want to be able to see everything in front of me as clearly as possible. There are a lot of animals out and about at night where I live, some of them big enough to cause a crash, and they love to run out in front of vehicles. Seeing them sooner rather than later is a good thing.

About 8 years ago we were driving my SX4 to work in the morning - I live near the Des Moines river and the road we take to town follows along the river - lots of hills, trees, grassy areas. Part way to town Bambi's aunt jumped, literally, out of an area where the trees are just a few feet from the road and WHAM, she landed right in front of me. I see why the limit there is 45. Wiped out the right front corner of the car, ripped the headlights out, just missed the grill, shoved the right fender back to the door so my wife wasn't able to open the door and get out, the fender all but touched the windshield, a piece of paper may have fit between. We turned around and parked the car and got into another vehicle to head to work. I searched over a year for a good rust-free fender and finally made one out of parts of two and repainted the car. Luckily I had headlight parts and most of the other stuff I needed.
After it was all painted and even better than it was - I rigged the headlights with relays. They were factory halogen lamps but the factory wiring was by then 30 years old and the voltage drop was crazy - down to about 11.5 volts with the engine running - should have been closer to 14. Wow, what a DIFFERENCE! I have to make sure the headlights are properly adjusted or I get flashed almost every trip they are so bright now. And whiter, too.
Anyway, deer everywhere, even in our back yard.

I have to have white light to work - I strive for 5K for my shop lights and even in the house have started upping the temp number. Yellow light doesn't cut it for me, never really did but it's worse now. With the cooler lights (4500 or better) I can get by with lower luminosity - less lumens.
