For those of you running the 37x12.5, could you tell me what they actually measure out to be on the Jeep at street pressures? I have heard they run truer to size than others which would be awesome.

Cheers

Update - new tire on the front passenger side from the local shop. They broke off a TPMS sensor the 1st time is what they are telling me. Still feels unbalanced at certain speeds. I am going to try and have them road force balanced this week.

Just in case anyone is looking Custom Offsets currently has about 100 of the 37x12.5x17 in stock (or they did last Wednesday). Everywhere else seemed to be out and on backorder. Mine arrived today with free shipping!
...now I just need the wheels and the Gladiator. :/

Had pretty much decided on BAJA BOSS ATs for tire upgrade....however...35s do not seem to be available anywhere near me anytime soon. I would really prefer to stick with Discount as they have always done well by me when it came to tire and tire installs. But looks like could be some time before available. My OE Falken MTS are getting worse and worse so I might have to look for alternatives.

I was going with them in 37's from discount tire and was told they were on backorder. I ended up going with the BFG KO2's again. No regrets. I mostly liked the look of the MT better. The weight savings of 15 lbs per tire is nice with the BFG's though. FYI the 37 BFG's measure out at 35 1/8" on my jeep inflated to 32PSI on an 8 1/2" Fuel wheel. I hope any of that helps.

There's a joke in here about BF Goodrich lying to to it's girlfriend about size...

Hank - did you shave the factory hairs off? I hear that will add a visual inch ;)
:giggle::giggle: To be honest I had mostly considered going with the BFG's. The smaller size fits my 2" AEV spacer lift perfectly. I do take my Gladiator on trail runs in the winter and to the dunes in the summer. It really fits the fender opening nicely. I like the look of more agressive treads but the Gladiator is my daily driver and I have zero complaints about the BFG. I am still on stock gearing too which makes the size of the tire less of an issue for me.

Thanks,
Hank

Thanks,

I had KO2's on my JK and for the most part they worked well....I was kinda looking for something a little more aggressive looking and with better rain performance. While I thought the BFGs were ok in rain...I did have hydroplaning more than I thought I should. Florida ice is not fun.

Sorry…one more question. Are you running wheel spacers?

I just traded my Mojave for a Rubi. the Mopar lift is getting installed Monday. I also have 1.75 inch wheel spacers and Clayton track bars going on. My current tires are 315/70/17. I am just second-guessing the wheel spacers.

Yeah I wish there was more 38’s. There are two choices from Nitto, then you have the Patagonias, Goodyear MTR’s and BFG’s KO2 and KM3’s in “39” which is really a 38 but that’s about it, that I know of.
I have the Km3 39s. Under my truck they are 37.25 so yeah I’d call that a 38 also. They’ve gone way up in price too! I got ‘em for $375/each in may of last year now they’re $500!

im down to the Baja boss at 37x12.50 & new nitto recon grappler when released to public. Gonna get 4 along with 4 more method 701/8.5“ wheels then swap to the BFG when heading out for serious wheeling 3-4 times a year. I figure the the 37s are close enough in height to be an effective spare and will actually fit under the Jeep because a 39” bfg definitely does not, even will 10ths in it, a ground down hitch and bent track bar

I see on here once and a while, people talk about using smaller diameter spares. I’ve always been under the impression that running two sizes on the same solid axle differential will wreck your gears, due to more rotations of the axle on the smaller tire side. Comments?
