I’m at almost 54k and my ball joints seem pretty solid still.

Dynatracs in my ProRock 44 in my 2007 JKU since 2010. Rebuilt each side once. It’s been on 37’s the whole time.

Dynatrac for my build. I started out with Teraflex but switched to Dynatrac when I installed the RCV axles. If you ever plan on converting to RCV axles, be aware Teraflex ball joints WILL NOT work with RCV axles. The grease fittings on top of the lower BJ's interfere with the cv joint of the axle. At least it wasn't a waste for me though. I installed the Teraflex joints in my wife's JT. The Dynatrac's are very solid and I've been happy with them.

My shop just checked mine. At 59k miles, no issues. I have some Teraflex HD ball joints at home just in case the time comes.

15k miles on 32s
5k on 33s
35k on 35s
4k on 37s

Light-moderate off-road use.

Dynatrac here, 37s and about 50 k miles, someone on here had an issue with the retainer rings?, not sure if isolated, seems MetalCloak are a great choice too, I would go that way next time due to their stellar customer service

Yeah just avoid Teraflex period. I had to find out the hard way the ball joints do not work with RCVs. No help from Teraflex and not listed anywhere that they do not work with RCVs. I found out after removing the old ball joints, installing the Teraflex and seeing the boots on the RCVs be slowly rubbing away. Reached out to Teraflex and of course they took zero responsibility and blamed RCVs. Anyway long story short went with Dynatracs, zero issues, ran 37, 38 and now 40’s for over 10k miles.

IMO,, the choice of wheel off set plays a part in BJ life.

If you're going to go through the effort of replacing your factory ball joints, in my opinion you should get rebuildable ones. No matter the brand... (AOC, Metal Cloak, Dynatrace, etc) to save yourself effort and money long term. They will last a lot longer, and they're built better. I've had a few Teraflex sets on other Jeeps and my god they're terrible.

Agreed. Best to keep tires and wheels in as close to stock offset as possible. I run AEV wheels which mimic closely stock offsets. Second set now on two vehicles with 37's and never had a ball joint issue.

Just to give more thought to it.... Synergy makes some all steel ball joints. Lots of info on their suite about them.
