For the spray in, will it stick to the paint or do you have to grind the paint off? That would be a bit of tedious work.

It'll stick a LOT better if you sand the paint. You don't have to grind it off, just sand it to rough it up a bit.

I've had drop in liners in the past and prefer the spray-in liner. For my JT I went with a Bullet spray-in bed liner then a mat over it.

Another for spray in, plus a rubber mat if impacts are a concern. Had hard liners... sucks that they are so damned slippery and do tend to chafe the paint under. And yeah, it is surprising how much can get lost in any cut outs they may have. I had a mat in my last drop in, a few years back and it helped with the slippery aspect. But I do much prefer my Line-X.

Also too.... Drop in weigh a bit more. If you are concerned with weight and such. Every pound counts to some folk.

Having a drop-in scratching your bed only makes it easier to apply the spray-in.

Possible issues with drop in liners:
1: They crack and warp in extreme temps.
2: They cause a rub point due to vibration and eventually wear away the paint.
3. They trap moisture and cause rust, especially if you have paint worn away from #2

I have a stock spray-in and really like it. The issue with drop-ins... moisture under the plastic can stick around for quick a while.

Another vote for Spray in Liner. The argument for a drop in liner for dent resistance would make me reconsider my truck choice if that was to be a regular occurrence.

I wanted a drop in liner. Thats all I ever had. My JT came with the spray in bed liner. Im glad it did. I really like it. It really is tuff. Spray bed liner on a aluminum soft drink can,, hold it in your hand and try to squish it. You cant.
