Hello Folks, I'm looking for recommendations for a bed mat for my Gladiator. Fit is important and also I don't want to have to worry about it flying out going down the road. I know that some come with a double sided tape to supposedly secure it. That is not what I want. Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated. Let me add, I have a factory spray in liner, I am looking for a rubber bed mat.

I haul some heavy stuff, and wanted the weak fender wells protected.

Went with a drop in bedliner, not much more expensive than a bed mat.

Ignore the wive's tail about bed rust. pulled mine out after five years, no abrasions.

As someone who used to work for Line-X spraying bed liners. I have removed hundreds of drop in's from various years and models of trucks and brands of drop in's. The wifes tails are true. You couldn't pay me to run a drop in.

I like my 3W liner. The fit is perfect and it doesn't require tape. The material is sturdy and has held up to a lot of things sliding across the bed. Shipping was less than a week. They are a site sponsor and are always running discounts. I'm not a paid spokesperson but did win a set of floor liners in one of their site threads.

PM @3Wliners if you can't find a discount code or want more information.

Check out the "Rough Country" bed mat. I have had mine for several years and it is really heavy and fits perfectly. Not a bad price either.

I second Rough Country but honestly don't think you need to over-think this one. I'm sure most options are great.

The Rough Country one I have is thick and heavy. It fits well. I admittedly have a tonneau cover on most times but even when I don't, I haven't noticed any bed mat movement at highway speeds. You may want to put some weight on it the first week or so since it ships rolled and needs some time to lay perfectly flat.

I've had spray-in, drop-in, no bed liner at all, and bed mats. I like bed mats - I prefer the color-matched bed sides and mainly love the extreme grip the bed mat offers over a spray in bed liner. Plus bed mats are cushion for the knees when climbing in and out.

I have the Weathertech mat and really like it but I don't have a spray in liner.

Dee Zee bed mat here as well, been very happy with mine for the two years I've had it. Fit is good, and at 3/8" thick and 30lbs weight there's no worries at all about it flying out. Added bonus is it's also made here in the USA. :like:

My previously owned 2007 Tacoma (with the composite bed) - I installed a 1/4 thick bed mat. It was a generic mat I bought from the local truck accessory shop. Cheap….

Whatever you get, make sure its at least 1/4” thick rubber or thicker. Doesn’t need to be fancy name brand. The thick rubber is heavy enough that it will never ‘fly’ out of the bed.

I have the Powoq bed mat from Amazon. Was skeptical it’s like a big floor mat. It’s been tough as nails and is super easy to pull out and shake off and put back.
And I pile it with wood.

Like @kroo I am also using a stall mat from Tractor Supply Co
It is repurposed from my old F-350.

Easily trimmed with a utility knife.
