and then the premium audio package with 8.4 is essentially adding the alpine system and then the extra money to bump up the screen size on the monitor. The bigger screen also comes with a year of sirius guardian and has the nav system where the 7" does not have nav.

Talking with one of the dealership and this is the quote they sent. Look reasonable? Am I missing anything? I will probably remove the cargo system and do a DIY one.

I would keep the cargo package...you could do the rails yourself but it also comes with the rear locking storage box and the outlet in the bed!

Thats true but as far as the out let goes im not sure what I'd really use it for. and for the storage box it looks like it wastes quite a bit of space. I saw someone that made a locking cover for it out of plywood. If you don't opt for the cargo package do you still get the outlet in the cab?

Really the outlet is the best selling point in that package...and no there is no 110 outlet in the cab.

I didn't get that package either. I really liked the idea of the outlet, but for $800 I'll just find something aftermarket to give me some power if I need it.

You only get that outlet on the Rubicon trim and possibly overland, not sure about overland but definitely on the Rubi

So let me get this straight. The AEK is getting you the 8.4 and the premium sound group for only $400 over the 7.0

No. It's the tech package (about $1000) and then the Prem Audio with 8.4" package (about $1600). It's about $400 more than just the tech package and premium audio package.

Edit: to be exact the MSRP for tech was $995 and then the 8'4" radio and Premium Audio Group was an additional $1695. Those are of course the MSRP prices. I got it for 6% below invoice so figure that in as well.

I felt like a dumbass when I paid $1,295 for the Alpine upgrade and then realized when I took delivery that it barely sounds any different than the standard system in my JL. But at $2,700 I think I'd cry.

You also paid for the tech package though which is $995 so you actually paid about $2300. The 8.4" was only $400 (invoice price) more. So for $400 more than what you paid is what we're paying for the 8.4"
