Having owned my JT for 1 year now I did not realize you can use the rear camera when driving. I was hauling stuff today and view was blocked and something told me to hit the camera button and voila. Image does not stay on for long but long enough to help with lane changes and to orient for incoming traffic on the interstate. Really cool stuff!!!

Indeed - and with the UConnect system, you can drag the rear camera app button to your bottom-screen list of favorites. Also, if you install a Tazer Mini, you can tap the mute button twice to activate the rear camera.

Yes, it's a handy feature i stubbled upon too. I got a backup camera that works with my GPS and put on my motorcycle a couple years ago and use it the same way I'm carrying camping gear that block one of my rear view mirrors.

That's a Tazer thing -
It allows you to change lots of settings that you would have to pay a dealer to do. Plus fun stuff.

Reprogram tire size. Change tpms settings, Use your rear camera all the time (no timeout) Change gear specs etc. Fun stuff like light show, blackout all lights, re map steering buttons etc. Mine has paid for it self over and over again.

AZJT, a silly question, but; what “mute” button? I saw that indicated in the Tazer instructions, but I have not found the mute button. I imagine that that the answer will cause a palm/forehead, haha.

What radio do you have? Should be at the bottom left of the climate control panel

Doh! I do indeed have that button and ignored it somehow. Thanks! The double tap to activate the camera is actually really handy. I had used the auto camera activation with turn signals but found that it interfered with the radio so I turned it off. I like this simple, manual, activation much better. Thank you!

I have my camera turn on when I hit my blinker. This helps making lane changes with the doors off. I don't run a passenger side mirror. I cant remember it its a Tazer thing or un the Uconnect option.
Does it create issues for your radio when you use it? For example, if I'm waiting at an intersection with my turn signal on (and the camera on) and change stations, after I turn and the camera goes off the radio goes back to the station it was previously on before I changed it. Some sort of glitch also happens if Sirius is buffered the song and resets when the camera turns off.

Thank you very much , you guys make the world a better place , As soon as I read I went for a ride with the wife and I show the camera while driving, she can not believe it. Thankfully there would not be complaints on gas money for a while.
Best Regards
Greetings from Mexico

I couldn't help you on that question. I don't listen to the radio nor Sirius. I can not deal with the propaganda during the commercial breaks. I listen to music I have downloaded to my phone for the most part and I rarely change artist or songs.

Weird - whilst I have played with the blinker/camera setting on the Tazer, I did not leave it engaged - but when I did try this function, it did not mess with my FM nor Sirius radio play.

So you just hit the rear camera button and it comes on for few seconds? I need to try that.... I tow a trailer and would love the option of a quick glimpse now and then. I did purchase the Vgate iCar programmer: https://amzn.to/43URKqo

Have not used as of yet, but was planning to do some programming this weekend. If turning on rear camera for towing is an option that would be great.
