We put one on the Giveaway Gladiator.

It was the first time I've had a chance to mess with one up close in person and it's a nice tent. One of the biggest things that stands out to me was they come fully loaded, you don't have to add a bunch of options like the thicker mattress or condensation mat and all at a nice price.

The quality of Eezi-Awn is tough to beat. I’ve also ran a lot of tents (ARB,CVT, Tepui, Roofnest, GoFSR, Eezi and probably a few others). I prefer the fold out style for a number of reasons but the hard shells seem to be the norm for now.

Eezi-Awn Series 3 1600 on an ARE shell. Also added a Rhino Dome Awning for the rear.

The ARE top can handle the weight? Or did you reinforce it?

Absolutely it can handle it. The reinforced caps are a waste in my opinion.

Can I ask how you mounted it to your rack? Does your rack have bars running horizontally across your bed? I got my tent today, and the rails on my rack and the track on the bottom of the tent run in the same direction so I am trying to figure out how to attach the tent to the rack... or maybe I am just illiterate!

I went with the Roofnest. Took it to Western Carolina and Tennessee this weekend. Had a great time. Luv the tent.

Is that the max modular rack you have on back as well? If so, how did you attach your tent to your rack? My rack has rails that run the same direction as the track on the tent, so the mounting brackets I don't see working.
