I have a Willys and a 3.5” MC True Dual Rate I’m looking to put on soon.

Best shocks under $500?

I unfortunately need to balance wheeling and daily driving. I’ll also be putting on 37s on 17x9. My bed will be carrying some sort of topper and a couple hundred pounds of gear. I don’t mind a slight rake as insurance against throwing more in the bed on occasion, but suppose most of that has already been decided by the spring kit.

Bonus points for shocks with gold accents!

Depends who you ask
Is the 500 for each axle or all four corners? Probably looking at Rancho or Bilstiens either way.

All four. I was considering Bilstein 5100 but not sure how it compares to others in the category

Rocksports would definitely be first choice but pretty sure your looking at 500 an axle. Most folks seem to like the Bilstiens but I have no first hand knowledge.

Your best match for that lift, whatever Metal Cloak recommends for it.

$500 total budget, you've limited yourself and probably won't be best match.

You can do the Rancho 9000 series for around that, you can do the Bilstein 5100 under that.

My bad then OP there's your best solution. They're designed to work with your springs and have great extension.

I’ve heard great things about the rocksports. They’re under $500 as well!

They’re probably the shocks I’ll buy if there’s a long lead time on rebuilding my current shocks.
