Bluetooth speaker microphone not working

My dealer tried a couple things, saw that it didn't work, and replaced the speaker. Well, same thing with the new one. I've connected it to two iPhones and an iPad, same problem on all of them. Sound plays out of the speaker, but if you try to do anything that requires the microphone, there is zero sound input. Can anyone else confirm the mic works for them? And what kind of device?

I've reset both the old one and the new one, removed and re-paired multiple devices multiple times. It fails with Siri, Zoom calls, FaceTime calls, and regular phone calls.

@JeepCares any ideas, or a tech support number on this? The dealer has no further ideas.

This is going to sound stupid, but it happens more than people realize.

Make sure the microphone isn't muted.

I was under the impression this thread was about the bluetooth speaker found behind the rear seat, not the hands-free built into the radio.

The microphone works with a cell phone via blue tooth, rear speaker works with radio via blue tooth......

Yeah I understand that. OP was clearly talking about the bluetooth speaker, not the radio.

Yeah, the microphone for the bluetooth speaker is in the bluetooth speaker. The microphone for the radio is in the headliner.
