Body color fenders available for Sport!

As the Sport continues to pick up options, they are slowly eliminating any reason for the Sahara/Overland trim to exist. With the JT, the Overland was already the black sheep of the family anyhow, with no heavy payload and towing numbers from the Sport but simultaneously no off-road goodies like the Rubicon. These added Sport options make it an even clearer case for the Overland to go away. I guess all that's left is the leather seat option that Sport currently can't get....

And the dealer told me if I really wanted to add this later to my Sport S it's about $1600

Yes, the Overland is a luxury street version for those using it more on the roads and wanting more comfort and extra bits. Tricking out a Sport will cost more in the end.

Based on all these option changes for the JT Sport, and looking at how the 2 door JL is only offered in Sport and Rubicon trims, I think this might be a hinting at Jeep phasing out Sahara/Overland over the next few years.

My "tricked out" potential Sport build (auto, hard top, 7in screen, max tow, cold weather, aux switch, painted fenders, bed liner) has an MSRP of $45,955. Adding the same options to an Overland comes to $47,515... and that's without the max tow added since it's not an option on Overland. So for less money I get the same comfort and a more capable vehicle.

Like others said Jeep really needs to just ditch the Overland and make all options available on all trims.

The overland is way misunderstood among this group. All it is, is a sport with more options. It starts with the same capability as the sport and it comes with the heavy duty brakes standard with the heavy duty+ suspension. The payload is less because the options list is higher to start with. It's still the only way to get an LSD with a manual transmission. I do agree that the sport is encroaching on the overland because they are pretty much the same thing minus the nice soft touch plastics, extra USB ports, and 18 inch wheels.

The door panels are soft touch and the lower dash all around is soft touch. The center console and arm rests are padded and covered in "leather".

Looked up the painted fender flares on the latest Order Sheet for the Sport Models...

YUP! The painted flares on the Sport Model are NOT available if you select MAX TOW!

What packages do you have to buy to get the painted flares because when I was at the dealership building a mock up gladiator, it wasn’t going through with just the Bedliner, side steps and alpine as options.

Only exception listed is Max Tow.... Also lists no manual trans with the Max Tow... No change there..
