Open the hood to do some maintenance and the fender flare shelf temptation is STRONG.

There’s no right or wrong answer. I’ve always liked the black, personally, and it gave me extra money for other options. YMMV. That’s the fun of Jeeps.

Some colors I prefer the look of the color matched fenders, white, black, granite crystal, but I think others look better with some contrast. Totally personnel preference though.

I actually prefer the look of the black flares...and its what I have had on all my Wranglers.however, living here in Florida...they fade and look like crap pretty quickly. Have tried all the tricks to restore them with not much luck. Still not decided on what I will get with the JT....I will be going with Punk'n and I think the black provides better contrast....but again not sure.

Personally I like the red fenders on mine currently but will be replacing with flats. I considered the tops painted red and leaving the edge black... but that gets expensive. So I'll likely just keep em black

I prefer body colored flares, especially on this gen where they have a black lip - looks a lot more like the old CJ style. Having off-roaded both my JLUR and my gladiator, those worried about scratches are either really rough on their equipment (to where they'd be damaging the body anyway) or they don't realize they get all the same scratches on the rest of their body work anyway.

Exactly. More pics I see the more I think I might just deal with sun-fading flares and replace when needed.

Have them lined or keep 303 on them. No fading. There’s also ceramic coating specifically for plastic now

Black roof and flares just look incredible on the Punk'n. I figure worst case couldn't you pull the flares, plasti dip them and then remount them or even get them coated at line-x?

Found two white Rubicons on the lot next to each other - one painted and one black.

Still not sure which way I’ll go. But I have time waiting for Gator.....

I agree with others that it depends on the color.. I think white on white looks good....orange on orange not so much.

Hmm, not sure about bed-liner (line-x) on flares/plastic. I would think it would not take a "plyable/bendable" surface very well and will be prone to chipping?
