The peace of mind alone was worth it. Kind of hoping it eliminates the hood flutter above 70 too.
the 25$ rivet gun from harbor freight was useful too lol. (The one in the red white box was a perfect fit)
Gotta file off the plastic a bit but overall I’m very happy!

I'm glad I put on mine. I have no plans to add the camera.

Good purchase. It’s a little piece of mind, knowing it may at least slow someone down from stealing your truck, or battery.

I also have the Factory Trail Cam and I love having it. I just ordered this hood lock as it will work with the front trail cam.
Lasfit Stealth Anti-Theft Automatic Hood Lock System for 18-23 Jeep Wr

They are on sale for $250 with free shipping. I used the coupon "BIGGIEHORN" and received an additional $50 off for $200 + tax total. Free shipping also.
I passed hard on this one, IMO, they made it way more complex than it needed to be, I personally don't like that they used an "air" system.

Looking good. I had to make the same cuts you did on my grill. Very pleased with it so far.

Also to complex for my liking...
I can definitely understand the sentiment that the Lasfit Hood Lock appears to be a clumsy and complicated system. I would love to have the simplicity and security of the Bolt Hood Lock or the Mopar version. I had the Mopar version of the Bolt lock on my JK and I was quite happy with it.

However, since the Bolt Lock is not an option with the Front Trail Cam, I had to look at something else. I was looking for something other than the hood locks that replace the hood latches. There should be nothing wrong with the pneumatic system of the Lasfit if it is implemented correctly. I have used pneumatic systems in very harsh industrial conditions and they are remarkably reliable. I will give the Lasfit a go and report back if does not meet my expectations.

Thanks for ginnie piging this for us. I've seen others use it, but I didn't really pay attention after watching the install video.

I'm sure if its done right, it will be a very reliable system. I have air bags on the rear of my Dodge Ram, although not the same system, I do believe it shares some of the same type of connection hardware or similar. I've never had a problem.

I've been holding out, hoping another company will come to the table with an offering for us trailcam users.

When still on active duty, I had a Toyota pickup and had to use a 3 foot chain and a very sturdy lock... if I ventured to the San Diego area near the border, your battery would quickly disappear ?

Hopefully I don't have to resort to this again ?

what is this attaching to?
It attaches to the engine frame with 4 rivets. It isn’t coming off easily. Those rivets are beefy the “nail” portion of the rivet is about the size of a 16d nail.
