Searched and found zero which is surprising.

What is the factory boost psi for the ecodiesel?

(I think it’s 26-28psi…. Need to know for certain)

Asking about boost pressure- need to know to size water methanol injection nozzles.
So, since I am having to make a thread to find the answer- Anyone else running water methanol?? Care to share? :)

Up to 30-31psi. Typically 28psi.
Here’s info from snow performance on their old ecodiesel specific kit. Should apply. I’m installing my kit soon gonna start with 1 gph test then 2 then 4 then 5z.

My 22 peaked at 29, registered as 22 on the Guage but when off truck went to -7 so that correlates.

The gen three has a different turbo so the range is likely slightly different then the gen two. See if you can get a good reading with a scanner. If you have access to a pg3 ?? Perhaps do a data log ??

I occasionally see peaks of 31 on her JLURD with the Tazer.
On a cold day at sea level I concur with this.

I am going to set my starting spray at 28psi and expect it to only kick on during boost with the controller. I also will have a nozzle in the grill behind the AC condensor spraying the IC/Radiator as a second stage. We will see how it goes. Im currently working on a tank option. Wish I could use the DEF tank!

Can you elaborate. I’m not sure I’m tracking your post/response? ?

are you talking about the scan Guage itself? Or?
Thanks

From my understanding the gen3 eco diesel has a redesigned turbo than that of the gen 2. So one could assume the boost pressures “max and average “ could or would be slightly different then the gen2s. There for the old snow performance kit might not apply the same as it would to the gen3 engine. My thought is that you might want to do a data log to see your engines actually boost numbers. I don’t have a vast knowledge of meth injection, but I do know that your boost numbers can be rather different then mine given elevation boost leaks ware on the turbo itself. Just spit balling to keep people thinking is all really lol.

I will argue that the VE is pretty close between the two different generations. They also make close to the same boost. I think the main worry would be hydrolocking which is why im starting with the old ecodiesel #'s. Actually starting with 1 gph nozzle. I still havent worked out a good tank solution yet.

If your username didn’t say Califucksus I’d say delete it and use the def tank!
