Right on.
I've got the same 315's. The truck just eats up the 35's. Thinking of going to 37's.

You mean they look small in the wheel wells?
Yes. From certain angles they do. Ultimately, I love how the truck performs as is. I just can't seem to get 37's out of my head.

Only way I get it out of mine is to think of the weight & maybe cost to re gear!

After getting the Toyo Open Country MTs on my Gladiator I'm a Toyo man now

Aggressive looks, amazing off-road traction, and longevity are is what is going to keep me going back.

When I wear these out I'm going to 37" versions

Everyone has their opinion, and favorite tire/wheel combo, but I run Nitto tires on three vehicles, (Ram 1500, Rousch Mustang, and my JTR) w/o any issues or complaints whatsoever. I've had 35's on my JTR for 8K miles now and have no complaints regarding ride or noise. I run them between 38 - 40 PSI (depending on the weather temps), and rotate them regularly with great results. For the OP, check your wheels, alignment, PSI etc and then make your decision to replace if necessary. There are many things that can mimic a "bad tire" and also you failed to mention whether or not the vehicle is new or used. Being after-market ties, my assumption is that it's used which can bring into play many additional issues. Good luck in sorting it out and making a decision on a solution.

I wanted the Ridge Grapplers but couldnt get my hands on them 6 months ago. Ended up with Toyo RT (37s) and have no complaints. Rides great on and offroad. Don't experience much rain and snow in SoCal. Another rec for 35s would be for some Duratracs. I'm on my 3rd set of Duratracs with my 4runner.

I have the Toyo Open Country AT3’s 285/70. They look really aggressive, have great off-road performance (I’ve run them through everything from sugar sand and soft beach sand, to muddy ruts and jagged rocks), and even better on-road manners, great rain traction, and super quiet as well.

I actually have split feelings with my 37 grapplers.

No tire can do it all; deep snow and compact snow, ice and rain etc..

I accept that the tires are not perfect and I have my gripes, but after having 20k miles or so I'm still good with them.

I think next round I want to try 37 wildpeak mt.

I'm going to say that these tires are horrible......bumpy and wobbly.....My JL before this had same tires and rode bad. I have a friend who rides on Toyo Open country and ride is smooth as butter. 315/70/17. What are your opinions on the ridge grapplers or have a better suggestion? Fyi....im on stock suspension and have Max tow.
I never had a Nitto I liked and never had a Toyo I didnt like. I did have set of 40 Nittos and they were actually impressive but they are the "me too" tire today.

I am not a "me too" guy at all, in fact I laugh at those people.

I run Toyo Open Country's on my 2 dr JL and I run the New Mickey Baja Boss's. Two tires that have impressed over and over.

My friend sells used watches, if anyone wants a Submariner to go with their Nittos he gives them away for free, his housekeeper didnt want any more, her entire family already has one and she says she cant tell the difference between the 2020 and the 1960 one.

If anyone running Toyos or Mickeys wants a Rolex he has a couple really nice GMT's in stock :)

Sorry, I had to do it. The Nitto/Submariner parallel I just can't resist lol.

I love mine also, Toyos hands down the shit. Tire guy could not believe how little weight they took.

I have a balancer in my warehouse now and I did Toyos, Mickeys, and a set of BF's. The balancer doesnt lie.

Toyo, Mickey, BF

only reasonMickey took a little More weight was because they are a much more aggressive tire that outperforms the Toyo off road but the two tires are for different off-road applications.

And yes, the BF's which I never liked took double the amount of weight than the Toyos did. So next time you see a BF Kool Aid drinker on the forum tell him he really should try lemonade. Its ok to be your own person :)

I am Fort Lauderdale, if you can run a set to rock rails with those nerf steps let me know I will give you a great deal if you are interested.

Someone much smarter than me said the Toyo AT3 is built on the same carcass as the RG. My GX460 had Ridge Grapplers (P-rated) which I had a good experience with. Ended up with AT3's on the JT since they came in 35 x 11.5 and no complaints so far. I actually had poor experience with the Wildpeak AT's with issues keeping them balanced so YMMV.
I have the Toyo A/T III's as well and pretty happy with them thus far. The Toyo AT3's are quite a bit different than the Ridge Grapplers tread designs. I would say the RG's are more mud oriented and the AT3 more all around and rain. Haven't tried them in the snow yet though but will be using with a plow this winter so should be good test.

I like KO2s, had them on my JL and my Ram. Rode well, good traction on and off road (logging roads, not rocking)

I bought my Jeep with 37x20 nitto rg tires and they wobble like crazy at 35 mph over bumps unless I put 46 psi in them. With 46 psi they feel like bricks and beat the hell out of the suspension. There is no reason I can think of to put any E rated tire on a JK/JL/JT rig...

And they won't grip anything to save your life.
