bout to ask a dumb question stock mojave tires on my cherokee?

As i understand it the Gladiator has a 5 on 5 bolt pattern... My 96 cherokee im almost certain has a 5.45 bolt pattern (unless someone can tell me i got that wrong). Assuming im right i would need an adapter to throw the Mojave tires and wheels on my cherokee? When i do get my Mojave i dont want to waste the tires and wheels so i was hoping to throw them on on my XJ. I tried looking this up and came to the answer i need an adapter. But wanted to ask people with actual knowledge of the gladiator i dont have mine yet and dont know diddly about squat.

Tires, yes with a 17 inch wheel. Wheels and tires will require an adapter.

Yeah that was my plan i should of been more specific. Tires and the stock wheel as well. I planned on regearing it for the 33'' inch stock mojave tires and wheels. Thanks

I don’t know much about adapters, but I’d imagine that as long as they’re hubcentric you’d be fine.

Me either, im going to talk a few people, and check some prices on what makes more sense. My cherokee is due up for tires right around the time i will be changing the Mojave stock wheels and tires so it was just a thought i had but Im not sure yet, since my cherokee is my daily driver. Im not sure i want to lose more MPG's, pay for a regear kit and put some kind of adapter on that might be shitty. Its already sounding not worth it to me. The only pro i can see is the 33'' tires would look better on the XJ but thats about it.

You can sell the oem take offs for $700-$800 and pay for your new tires, just a thought.

The adapters are available and well understood. My favorite local 4x4 shop has a great example of this kind of wheel replacement. The owner setup a blue XJ with JK Rubicon wheels, 17" alloy, for his son. I stopped the kid and told him how great I thought the combination was - the more modern wheel combination really works visually!

I picked up a set of five old JKR wheels to mount my Falken AT take-offs on my 93 YJ. Those wheels and spacers were the up-front cost. The catch is, I've got 4" of suspension lift and I was running 33x10.5 KM2's previously. 33's on a Cherokee need a LOT of lift, and then you'll probably have to trim some. I get some rubbing on the front leafs at full lock as it is.

The Falkens are GREAT tires, but the JT just swallows up bigger tires. It's a little deceptive how smol the factory 33's look on the JTM. If you don't ALREADY have the gearing for 33's, you're probably best off trying to sell the new boots off and buy something better sized for your XJ.

I have a 3.5 lift on it right now. From what i heard its enough i just might need to trim.

It has a 3.5 inch lift on it now, Im looking into all the different options and what will cost what this weekend. Besides regearing and the MPG loss, im not sure if my old transmission wants to be running 33''s just for the fun of it .

XJ is 5 on 4.5. Prob just a typo you had there.

JT is 5 on 5.

So you need 5 on 4.5 to 5 on 5 adapters.
