I currently have a 2021 Gladiator with a 4 inch lift and 37-in tires. I recently called the dealership with my VIN number and they told me that I have the br6 brakes on my vehicle. The vehicle breaks pretty good for now but I wanted to have the extra confidence with the power stop system put on to it. I've noticed that all the kits that I'm looking for that power stop provides all take care of the br3, br4, and br5 Brake systems. Does anyone know if power stop makes a aftermarket kit for the br6 brake systems? I have an email inquiry into powerstop but I have not heard back from them. Any information you can provide would be very helpful. Thank you

All stock gladiators have the same brakes, regardless of trim. Powerstop does make their z36 package for the gladiator. I’ve been running them for years. I’ve got a ‘21 rubicon.

Thank you for the information. Do you happen to know the kit number for power stop that takes care of the gladiator? Unfortunately the only kit that I can find with the new pads and rotors is the one that's listed for the br3, 4, and 5 brake systems.

They are not a true “big brake kit”, as you’re not changing out your calipers, but they stop way better on mountain roads, and when towing. 4low torque still tries to win on steep descents though. I occasionally use neutral when descending steep obstacles so the torque doesn’t overpower the brakes. The only way to fix that is with larger calipers and rotors.

The way to win over the 4:1 low torque down hill. Is to use controlled downhill decent button. Works like a charm

I’m not a fan personally. But I’m not talking about g about normal descents. More the 30-40 degree down obstacles.

Jeep never released a HD brake system for the Gladiator even though very early press said they would. Only difference I know of between Gladiator models is the Max Tow option has different pad material but everything else is the same.

The Powerstop Z36 kit @WILDHOBO mentioned is solid. I ran that system on a RAM 1500 and was quite impressed and plan to do the same on my Gladiator when needed.

Yeah done some seriously steep crap in mine. I do favor it and I use that gear shift and modulate it often

As mentioned above those are not a true big brake kit.

I have an issue with companies that sell rotors with holes drilled in them as this is nothing more than bling and actually will ,not perform as well as solid rotors.

The only true big brake kit that I’m aware of is this one from Teraflex but it’s significantly more expensive as the rotors are also upgraded and the disc diameters are larger…

If you haven’t used them, the powerstop rotors work extremely well. I’ve had them on multiple vehicles. They improve braking on mountain roads and when towing significantly. It’s noticeable. Very. It’s not bling.

Some models got FNC front brake rotors as well.

For example, my 2021 Mojave lists: ABS 4-WHEEL HD DISC BRAKES W/FRT FNC (BR1)

When I was looking into different brake systems I call Powerstop and ask what different between your calipers and stock jeep calipers.
I was told they are jeep factory calipers rebuilt with jeep parts and painted red.
I did try Z36 pads and yes they helped put with 37 tires I was not happy.
I finely went with Teraflex Delta brakes. They are amazing and one of my best upgrades.
