So question, does it still do this even if you turn the doors off? The little switch between windows you're supposed to roll down if you take the doors off?
What little switch? I simply take them off. I do nothing special. I unplug the door connector, remove the bottom hinge retainers (not technically a nut, but ok, whatever) and I lift them off.

Does it tell you how to disable auto park in the manual ??

Still trying to find any relevance to this suggestion??
You will not find how to DISABLE it because you can't disable it. It's a safety feature and if they told you how to disable it, well, then it's no longer a safety feature! It would no longer be a fix ok with the feds if you tell people how to defeat it. It's like ESS - it's GOT to self-enable each time or they can't get CAFE credit for it.
The book DOES explain what it is and what it does. But people act so surprised when it happens.

We mention the manual because it explains or should explain that it exists and what it does.
No one reads the manual otherwise no one would be asking "what the hell is this and why is it doing this" plus all of the OTHER threads out there in this forum and other forums and places on the web that talk about this thing. We mention the manual because people talk about this like it's new or unique to their truck or think their truck is broken.

It's relevant because it tells what it is.
IT doesn't tell how to disable it (and for good reason)

No, no it doesn't because :: drumroll please :: you aren't supposed to because it's a core safety feature designed to save the jeep from killing people.

You strike me as the kinda guy who zip ties the guards out of the way on his power saws because they slow you down and get in the way. And besides, you've never hurt yourself so it's just a waste of time and material.

And just so I’m on the same page as you… you are saying it 100% can not be disabled…..????…right…????

So does that mean that if you take off your doors and try to put your vehicle in drive you just sit there and get a message….?????!!!!!

Oh…and auto start stop can be disabled also….just saying…..but that’s another topic we’ll save for later.

I guess you can’t take it as good as you give it. Maybe next time you won’t ramble on about what other people do to their vehicle because you feel it’s right or wrong. All while not answering their question.

But you aren't answering anything either, picking fights and strutting around like a dried up old rooster woth threats of what can or cannot be done.

I'm sorry you weren't the white knight you wanted to be and the whole tone of the conversation didn't align with your viewpoints.

But honestly, if you aren't going to share with the group, how one would disable autopark and start-stop, how would we all otherwise recognize your glory?

I feel you are greatly misunderstanding the situation here.

I have a dislike for whining about things that are blatantly designed to save lives.
I fucking hate this mentality. If we cared so much about saving lives then nobody would be allowed to buy a Jeep or SUV or truck without special licensing and a bona fide need approved by the government and all vehicles would be speed limited to 45mph. Instead some celebrity gets smashed and suddenly a problem that wasn't a problem is a problem.

Nobody has the balls to suggest things that would truly save lives and like everything else in this world lately, people go for cheap, feel good wins instead of really fixing things. How about instead of making the system kick into park, we stop replacing proven designs with positive retention and positive, mechanical feedback with a fucking knob over some stupid aesthetics?

So I'm gonna heckle when I see crying and whining about oh this evil feature, oh it's so onerous, why oh why... ask the family who recently lost a child on the rubicon about a jeep rolling, ask them if they would have liked the autopark option.
I think the option is the kicker for most people... I personally don't want the feature because I have never once found myself in a vehicle where it's been a concern. I have jumped into move my truck a few feet many times only to have it slam into park because I didn't slam the door shut. It's an annoyance for a problem I don't have.

Because I’m willing to show a video as proof. This forum won’t allow me to post it as the file is too large. Unlike you, I back up or give every attempt to back up what I say. I don’t just talk shit and hope it goes away.

No, you just seem to talk shit and specifically don't go away. It's a very different behavior.
