That seems like a lot of hassle, and then you are risking bent pins in the connector that creates other issues. All you have to do is buckle the seat belt and keep weight on the seat. You don't have to have the belt around you, just buckled.Could you disconnect the door sensor when you have to do this kind of maneuvering? Then it'd think the doors are off. I don't know for sure, as my manual doesn't auto park. But our manual compass did, because it had the electronic parking brake. This all started when the Grand cherokees were recalled due to a dangerous faulty shift lever.
