I will attempt to install 7" Audexen Halos today. I say attempt since the Warn winch cables are against the grill. I'm not sure I can actually pull the grill to the front to undo the bottom retainers. I'm going to try to disconnect the cables in the control box to see if that works. I also ordered the Audexen JT 7" adapter brackets. If the lights turn out to be crap, I spent less than $100 for the brackets and lights. I can always use name brand 7" with the brackets.

I went from the stock Halogens to Beamtech LED bulbs. Very happy with the results. Enough so that I ended up changing all the running lights, turn signal lights, etc.. Essentially went from unusable (What was Jeep thinking with the Halogens) to very useable. I'm sure the dedicated aftermarkets are somewhat better, but this Jeep is a money pit, and I've got better places to put $1000.

Not a cheap option but +1 for the DD elite series. I have the non-max headlights and the elite series fog lights. The headlights are a pain to install and align but paired with the fog lights they are impressive. I think the cutoff with the fogs are better than the headlights though.

Got the headlights installed. Pretty simple install. Followed Amazon instructions from the vendor and turns out the leads going out for the DRLs were inverted. They turned amber. Fixed after I swapped the leads. Now they turn white. Still have to aim the lights and change to LED with JSCAN. Just need the steps to do that. Also went ahead and installed the led bar over the winch.

I use led bulbs in stock housing. No issues in 3 years. Massive improvement over stock. Not sure why jeep thought 1986 was peak headlight

Oracle with DRL to replace my halogens. They’re really bright. I will say they look like eyes and I’m not a fan so will look to replace with OEM or maybe splurge on some morimotos

Forgot to mention that the Audexen ring adapters even with rubber gasket left a big gap with the grill. I remedied that with three washers on each bolt. I still need to aim the lights and figure out what is the correct beam pattern. I do have a question. How soon will the Jeep take to notice the LEDS and start giving error messages like lights out or flickering? I haven't had any of that even during a 30 minute drive last night and 20 this morning. Wondering if the previous owner had made changes. I'm suspecting this JT had aftermarkets lights since the OEM halogens seemed like they had been removed before as the harness push retainers were hanging.

Got the headlights aimed/dialed in about 90%. I'm sure I can fine tune them but I need to find a level place with a wall so I can do it. Drove around the usual roads which are pretty dark and I'm pleasantly surprised at the difference compared with the halogens. The cutoff isn't the sharpest (better aiming) but I can now see when driving our dark roads. For now I am satisfied but I can't say anything about longevity. If they last a year or two in I'm fine with that as I paid less than $60 for the pair. If all of the sudden they both fail at the same time, I still have the spot lights and light bar so I'm not concerned. It rained today so I'll check tomorrow for any condensation and report back.

LoyoLED. Been running mine for 2 years or so now. Been flawless. They mostly sell the 7ā€ headlights for JLs but include a bracket to fit on JTs

They have 2 different 9ā€ headlights specifically for the JT last time I checked though.

Great customer service, highly recommend.
I just got these and also recommend them. They look great and were easy to install. One question @DailyMoparGuy - did you wire up the hallows? If so, curious where you chose to get power for them. I was hoping to tap into the DRL in the fender but that didn't seem to work.

I run the Oracle Oculus Bi-LEDs with switchbacks. They are great but not cheap. Earlier in the year the concensus was scratch and dent Rough Country LEDs if you can find them on eBay. Great deal for $250 when available.

Gents, buy once, cry once!

Budget LED headlights are cheap for a reason. Save the money to get the good stuff.....trust me, its worth the wait to get quality lights.

Deciding on whether to upgrade the full headlight housing or just go with some LED bulbs. I've looked at some previous posts about doing it correctly and upgrading the entire assembly and then there are those who have had success with upgrading the led bulbs.

For those who have upgraded the entire headlight housing, did you go with one from amazon or did you go with the Oracles/Diode Dynamics/etc. big names?

Any issues with the budget options? Any issues with the Oracle or Diode Dynamic options?
I sent you a DM

I see you have the Max Tow too. Mine is a ā€˜21 model which I remember reading somewhere on this forum might be important for this (not sure though). ā€˜21 Model Year has a designated signature lighting wire on the headlight harness (see image below). Don’t bother tapping the DRLs if you have the same model year as me. It won’t work.

I tapped main headlight harness (signature lighting wire) and used my JScan to make sure ā€œSignature Lightingā€ was enabled. However I think I remember it working even before messing with the JScan anyway.

I meant to go back and wire it with a more permanent setup instead of this vampire clip, but it has worked fine over the last couple years.

Existing harness red wire tap and provided red wire from LOYO (I’m color blind just fyi, but this is the setup that worked for me. I’m also just now remembering from this old picture that I never taped this up lmao).

Got my factory halogens replaced almost immediately after the purchase (new 2023 Mojave) with the 9-inch Infinite Offroad Apollo. My mechanic recommended them. Also got their fog lights. They were running a 25% discount at that time so, I consider it a good deal. Loving the lights so far. Day and night comparing to factory halogens. They also say they cover all their lights with the 25-year "you brake it" warranty. Meaning, they should replace them no matter what.

I am really blown away at not seeing more folks take advantage of the northridge4x4 discount on JW Speaker headlights…. 65% off is nuts. It I didn’t just throw $2500 at tires I would have been on it. I greatly dislike even the factory jeep LED’s in favor of the JW’s…
